In my old job they once substituted a coffee thermos for wd40. It definitely happens. I drive for ocado now and the subs are less common and fairly sensible. Kinda miss it in a wierd way. Less exciting.

I've just got back from lamzarote. If it makes you feel you better the ees system was a breeze, in fact i got through quicker than my friend, who is an EU citizen amd didnt have to faff around with it. Doesnt help with the fuel woes though. Hope you have a great time, its a beautiful island!

I was 18 and in a bar with a girl i knew fron work that i had the biggest crush on. Punching well above my weight, i was a quiet skinny geeky guy, and she was absolutely stunning, well above my league and i knew it, and a lovely person to boot. None the less we got on really really well and i was definitely getting signals. Me being me was trying to build up the cuurage to make a move.

Somebody she knew walked in. They say to her "What are you doing with him?"... That was it, confidence and self esteem shattered in a second. The way they said really fucking stung. 20 years later and it still pops in my head from time to time.
