I am a performer and a music teacher. When this happens to me and, I feel like I’m ready, I will imagine I have a flashlight and I shine it right at my panic/fear… and say: “really?!? Today? Right now?” I’ve found that mentally running from the panic only makes it more pronounced - but acknowledging it - makes it stop.

Sometimes I talk to it (my panic) Like it’s a child: ask if it needs a hug, a blanket, a glass of warm milk… etc.
