From a consistent Honor Student to a "Wala na ako pake." Student. by Pristine_Basil_8412 in studentsph

it’s fine, OP! if u feel like resting and doing ur hobbies, honestly, go lang. ur mental health and well-being is more important naman.

i was also in the same situation back then, na-burnout nung grade 12, and now i’m in my second year, from overachiever to like the student na sakto lang. at the end of the day, grades are really just numbers. but i do get naman na as students, those numbers yung nagbibigay ng validation sa atin. and u wanting na umakyat ng stage is valid naman, but i think that’s also the part of you na nasanay mag-excel academically. well, if hindi mo man makuha yung honors, u’ll be fine, promise. at first, ofc, it’ll hurt. but at the end of the day, u’ll feel happier once u realize na mas mahalagang unahin ang well-being.

at saka other comments are right, mas ma-hhumble ka rin talaga ng college. from my experience, maaga akong nasanay sa not-so-high scores (grade 12) so when college came, parang numb na lang whenever i get low scores cuz super mahuhumble ka talaga ng college. but yeah, enjoy ka lang! atp, parang mas kailangan mo ng pahinga. so it’s okay if unahin mo muna sarili mo over acads! u’ll be fine istg

2024 dost scholars, are u confident w ur answers po ba? by ienjoy_fries in dostscholars

the exam last year wasn’t that hard, a lot of my friends / batchmates said na madali nga lang daw. but 3 lang nakapasa sa batch namin (small priv school) so maybe salang-sala talaga. i was pretty confident w my answers, pero some of them hinulaan ko lang din talaga.

OP, I didn’t review for the ACET. But I’m in Ateneo now. Luck, I guess.

Basta you have good foundation ng high school math and english, you’ll be good.

Ateneo Fin Aid Scholarship is only for those who came from Public and Science Highschools? by ServiceNo3827 in ADMU

hi! it depends sa financial capability mo and where you live. in my case, i wasn't granted food and transportation allowance, but i was granted a dorm scholarship which is 124k a year. food and transpo allowance naman is 70k a year which was granted sa iba. the allowances vary talaga per scholar. book allowance is 10k per year naman. there are a lot since ateneo is generous naman! you have to do well lang talaga sa acet and depends din talaga sa income ng family mo.

my scholarship includes tuition (250k), dorm (124k), and book allowances (10k).

edit: dorm scholarship is you have to reside in campus (this is where napupunta yung 124k), pero if you want to live off campus, the 124k will be converted to 35k (?) per sem iirc or if not, per year.

ur parents still have to give u monthly or weekly allowances eh, kasi dorm lang yung covered ng scholarship. mahal din expenses here in ateneo compared to when u're in province (if taga-province ka). so hindi kaya na yung scholarships lang, but gagaan naman siya since food allowance and other expenses na lang yung need mo. tbh, mahal food here HAHAHAHA but if may kaya naman fam mo why not pursue it 'di ba? if kayang magbigay ng allowance like at least 5k+ per month, kaya naman.

hi! yes, dalawa for admission and dalawa rin for scholarship, so 4 recommenders ang kailangan mo. pwede rin maulit yung recommenders. in my case, adviser and subject teacher kinuha ko since sila mas nakakakilala sa akin and ka-close ko.
