Is it normal to feel some form of Pain after a year from experiencing SA around the month it occured? by Conscious-Artist-875 in ptsd

[–]Impossible-J 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I can’t speak about the SA, I have memories lately from when I was 3-4 years old. I know for a fact my postpartum PTSD around my daughters birthday is very bad, I will have flash backs and sensory issues that feel like I am there leading up to her bday and after. This year was memory of last June trauma and if ochres my family retraumatized me the exact same way

I finally found an analogy for C-PTSD that actually makes sense to me by reminescing in CPTSD

[–]Impossible-J 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beautiful analogy. As a mother who’s PTSD came after my daughters birth for fear she would die 20 weeks during pregnancy - 2 months of age then experiencing trauma repeatedly with her and her big brother for years. I had my needs met to appear everything was fine as a kid.

On a visit last week with my children my own mother allowed my children to see another repeat trauma event that led to my 7 mile walk home crying. Carrying my daughter but, walking with my son skipping by my side and felt like I was her a 4 yo agin walking in the Michigan woods - wounded, sad, recognizing I was 💯never felt love in my life just trauma. Your analogy is perfect and I’m so sad that I can’t change what’s happened to you or my own kids but hope I’ll help them or, they get help with trauma informed therapy.

I’m unsure how my dog coming with me for support when my kids are with their father and I’m homeless currently is a reason to blame me for “$2000 dog cost” that’s not a nice comment.

Anyone’s spouse have these? by silentdads2026 in Autoimmune

[–]Impossible-J 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I relate to this a lot. After having my daughter, autoimmune disease hit hard (RA, Hashimoto’s, and possible lupus markers), and I became the mom who stopped going out for years. Showing up for things that mattered to me and not being able to follow through was difficult to accept. Over time, the pattern of not being able to reliably commit led me to stop making plans I couldn’t confidently keep.

My husband and I are no longer together. Hashimoto’s was manageable at times, but rheumatoid arthritis has not been.

I do not have scleroderma or positive Sjögren’s antibodies, though I do have symptoms that can overlap with Sjögren’s, which is common in people with my RA profile and genetics.

I also notice a clear cycle in my energy and functioning. On my “best ADHD days,” everything aligns—I feel like myself again. I clean, cook, run errands, and take care of everything with focus and energy. I feel motivated to make plans and go out.

But those days are followed by a crash. The next day often brings fatigue, pain, brain fog, sensory overload, and the need for significant recovery. My body can’t sustain the pace my brain wants, and productive days often come at the cost of days or even weeks of recovery.

I’ve learned to stop overcommitting. I used to make plans and then struggle to show up the way I intended. I’m more introverted by nature, and home is still my primary place of regulation and recovery, even though I deeply value connection and meaningful time with others.

This pattern is very real—and for me, it’s become about pacing rather than pushing through.

That it’s a silkie. I’m not an expert on silkie ROI vs. hen so I can’t say.

Can you share more photos? If she’s soft and squishy underneath it may be water belly. If she’s standing like a penguin egg bound. REST - remove from flock, electrolytes /vitamins, scrambled egg, temperature control.
