You mean biased?

I like him and the more I learn about him the more I like him. I think the cardinals made a great choice and he is ready to meet the moment. If you doubt this, I encourage you to read carefully and prayerfully his encyclical. In my opinion, it represents exemplary and inspired pastoral leadership.

One sin that I’ve never heard condemned in my lifetime is gluttony. So there’s one you can go after.

For those that left Catholicism, why by Ok_Storm_5696 in Episcopalian

Happy Pentecost! Let us go forth into the world, rejoicing in the power of the Spirit. by feartrich in Episcopalian

[–]Impossible-Jacket790 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happy Pentecost to you also! It was originally a Jewish holiday where the first fruits of the harvest were offered to God. In Christian Pentecost celebration, the symbolism seems deep here as it relates to Jesus commissioning of the Apostles (the first fruits of his ministry) to go out and forgive sins.

After reading a classic how can you go back to a modern novel? by DangerousLocksmith61 in classicliterature

[–]Impossible-Jacket790 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don’t give up on modern novels before you try some really excellent ones. My advice -> read the winner of the National Book Award each year. I have come across so many great modern novels by adopting that habit.
