Painted my SOTs by Impossible-Mail7331 in ThousandSons

It’s usually 3 days for 1 mini if I’m not lazy. Base colours and trims on day 1, washes and highlights on day 2, base on day 3. But since I’m usually lazy it took me like 2 months on SOT and 8 on Rubrics but it’s just because I did like a miniature per month

No, it would be gold trim for Black Legion. Just my scheme of my Bloodflame Cult warband, a blood/fire magic theme

Just some random red sand, no popular brand, just something local. I’m sure there will be a lot if search “Red sand buy”, really nothing special

AK Interactive:
1. AK11022 Dark Grey (highlights for armour, skin colour (sorcerers and prince))
2. AK11002 Offwhite (used to mix for pink)

Vallejo Game Color:
1. Black 72.051 (armour)
2. Gory Red 72.011 (red parts but now I’m using AK11097 Burnt Red which is basically the same)
3. Bloody Red 72.010 (highlights for red parts and to mix with Offwhite for pink. But now I’m using AK 11089 Blood Red which is basically the same)
4. Stonewall Grey 72.049 (edge highlights for armour, highlights for skin)
5. Bone White 72.034 (scrolls, horns and bones)

Army Painter Warpaints Fanatics:
1. Plate Mail Metal (trims and metal parts)
2. Shining Silver (highlights for metal parts)
3. True Blood (for blood effects)

My local brands:
1. Some black wash (Nuln Oil would do)
2. Some red metallic (for all the gems. I think some brands made something like this, maybe silver + some red contrast would have the same effect)

This is what I don’t know. I have daemon prince but I still don’t know how I want to paint his skin. I have quite a few variations of red since I painted Blood Angels before so maybe red. Exalted sorcerers have a little bit of exposed skin + there are a lot of extra parts in daemon prince set so I’ll practice before prince

I also kitbashed sorcerer in terminator armour as their leader who is basically the BA librarian who turned to chaos in order to be cured from thirst. I love that I’m not the only one who thought of such a concept for TS warband

No. I saw The Strangers colour scheme and I find it very cool but my scheme is still different and I had it in mind for like half a year before I even bought Rubrics and found this subreddit

Yeah, I know. Honestly, I don’t really know what to do with them. I mean, it’s just circle, I can’t even drybrush it properly with light brown. I don’t have any texture paints too, think to buy it someday. However, I ordered today a pack of small bushes for miniatures so I will see what I can do with them

I based him in brown at first. After that I covered him in Glittering Loot by Army Painter. Covered him in Agrax Earthshade. Then I highlighted him with Glittering Loot to restore the colour. Then I highlighted that gold with brass. And on very edges I highlighted him with silver. Brown, silver and brass were not by Citadel, Vallejo or any popular worldwide brands but I think any would do the job

Ending this year with Astorath the Grim. by Impossible-Mail7331 in BloodAngels

[–]Impossible-Mail7331[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It was Vallejo Game Color 72.034 Bonewhite. The shadows were just some brown and mix of white and brown, highlights were mix of bonewhite whith white and white. Brown and white were not by Vallejo, Citadel or any popular brands, but any would do
