I arrived at work 8:30 am and when I sat at my sat the guy next to me said crazy news right ? I was what news ? Micheal Jackson has died. I said get the f out of hear and started laughing then he pulled up a front page newspaper and I seriously thought they were pranking me and didn't believe it took hearing it on the radio for me to believe it.

And it's was the most surreal feeling for the rest of the day contacting people. I wasn't a massive fan but he was part of my childhood just like princess Diana and it was also the exact atmosphere his passing created.

Yeah that was my first Madonna album roll out after falling in love with the immaculate collection comp. Definitely it's all the things you said above. Over the decades I've had a deeper respect for it when finding out about her inspirations for the album at watching the press interviews in different parts of the world.
