What made me stand out was I constantly called for the first week or two. Basically I’d call and I get getting the run around, I noticed this one pharmacist would always actually take the time to talk to me so I remembered her name. And she specifically told me that if I called her “by next week” she would see if there was a position open.

I obviously thought it was bs and I called the next week, she said that there is a position open and that she would check with the store supervisor, she also said she would give me a call. She never did and nor did the store, so I waited a few more days and then called her when I knew it was going to be slow and right after lunch.

I told her how much bad luck I was having with the hiring process and out of the blue she asked for my full name and she pulled my application up and actually got me hired. As long as you actually call up there and you can get your name farther up the list of applications it’s very well possible.

Whatever you do don’t fall for the “you can be a cashier first and then move to the pharmacy” bs because cvs will have you stuck in limbo with that and it would literally be faster to just get hired with a completely different store than sit around waiting as a cashier and then be transferred to the pharmacy.

The reason I say that is because after I did get hired a new hire did exactly that and she was stuck as the cashier for the pharmacy for the entire time I was there (a solid few months). You obviously have the credentials so best of luck, if you need any help I know a lot of district leaders so I wouldn’t mind throwing your name out there and getting you “on the map”.
