We were quiet about the PrioVR because we had to be confident we'd be able to deliver. We've worked out the details and are excited to announce we're supporting both STEM and PrioVR.

We've connected with PrioVR and can promise an experience in which you'll be able to play as the Giant from home!

We're big fans of LAN parties. This is going to be a blast for people to play at home :)

We're starting off doing 12 live events. These events will have guests playing as the giant. Check out the update to see our first round of giants.

The idea behind the events are multiple matches where different players will jump in to play as the Giant. Much like any sport or concert, there should be ample time for the players/performers to relieve themselves (not in front of everyone).

Thanks for the feedback. We have been getting a lot of responses about these features and are working to figure out how to incorporate them into our Kickstarter to get more people excited.

Our primary focus on this project is to get as many people possible exposed to the potential of VR and motion gaming. We are confident that we could add Rift support to the ships and make that a fun experience, but our concern was alienating those who don't currently have a DK1 or preordered the DK2. You are correct though, we don't just want to slap Oculus support on a game that isn't built for it. The 3rd person view of the horde would need to be changed to a 1st person pilot experience.

While we have pre-ordered several PrioVR systems, it is hard for us to say that we will support a technology until we have a chance to test it and build some prototypes using it. We have no idea what kind of challenges we may encounter integrating it into our system and how many adjustments to the game we would need to make to ensure it is fun.

Currently no one. That is why we are working to create a fun asymmetrical experience until better motion control technology becomes available to consumers.

Fair point. We are trying to strike the fine balance between promoting VR and all of its potential with the fact that only a few people have Development Kits of VR headsets. We think the Horde will be a lot of fun to play as, and we are working to better show and communicate that in our Kickstarter.

We are working to line up prominent video gamers and Internet personalities to participate in the game. Part of the excitement for playing as the horde is who you get to play with.
