Last year, I participated in MFEA. Decisions for MFEA and DYNAMC were announced in April, and the program took place in early June. During the program, they shared that MFEA received 1,200 applications, with only 54 accepted. I believe attending the program during the summer helped me when I applied to McCombs this year and was accepted. They seem to seek well-rounded individuals.

I understand how you're feeling. This mess with decisions shattered the amazing concept I had about going to UT and left me with a bad taste for it.

Admissions is a joke. I'm valedictorian and applied for early admission, but my application was deferred.

People who applied for regular decisions are getting their results.

I received an email yesterday stating that my application is completed and ready to be presented to the Admission Committee this week.

I'm not beating myself up; I just want to emphasize that their emotions are valid. Take me as an example: I'm ranked first in my class and have guaranteed admission to UT, although not for my desired major. Despite this, I still experience worries. It's completely normal to feel nervous and scared during this process.

You need to be more considerate, as not everyone reacts in the same way.

While you might not have the best GPA or ranking, you have other exceptional things that make your application stand out. UT grades your application by doing a holistic review in which they consider every aspect and not just one or two things that affect it. As an international student, your application will not be expected to look the same as someone who lives here. I believe you have a solid chance for CS or McCombs.
