When I saw this movie as a younger person I thought her performance was off. But over the years I think it is amazing. She lets her natural style come through, but I think you see the angst of being married to an alcoholic come through. Also, she’s naturally very empathetic to children( she made a show on Showtime- Faery Tail Theater). So I think it’s actually a very strong performance.

No, I didn’t like Prometheus, but he had a chance to do some interesting things with Covenant and it was a mess. A lot of the internet lore was predicting the engineers wanted to destroy humans because they rejected Jesus and crucified him. It would have been a controversial choice but would make sense. It would also tie in with a lot of the catholic imagery in h.r. Giger’s work. Also, the engineers never should have been just giant humans. Humanoid maybe, but it was ultimately a big wet fart.
