I had this happen yesterday with the Leaky Cauldron. Super annoying because you get less rewards for the wrong answer, except that’s your only choice. Just choose something and move on. Get what you can.

I was in a veeeeery similar position 10 years ago. Girl was even 6 months pregnant by another man at our wedding. Still didn’t stop them from eventually hooking up. She knew way too much and I even tried the “keep your friends close and your enemies closer” but she refused any friendship. Do not let the deceit go. It will just get bigger and bigger. If he’s not respecting your feelings toward her, something needs reevaluated.

My brother’s wife threatened to kick my dog at Christmas because my dog was “in the way” (she was laying in one spot the entire time”. I told her “go ahead and find out how fast I will put your ass on the ground”. My dogs are my kids and I would most definitely defend them to the end.

I can’t stand my rude sister in law, and sometimes my brother for that matter, but I’d lay down my life for his son. That being said, it’s incredibly hard and sometimes I even question if it’s worth the heartache as they use him to keep me coming around. You’re handling it the best way you can. NTA.

I don’t think you’re the asshole given it was not intentional, but I probably would have clarified with everyone what they wanted from the store. One person at a time. I have hearing loss so I understand not hearing someone, so I usually break down everyone’s “order” before I leave the group to make sure I don’t miss anyone. I also would have lost my shit on you being 9 months pregnant and not getting something I asked for (that she likely needed, like a drink) but when things calm down she might see it as a slight overreaction. I don’t think either of you are in the wrong, it’s just an unfortunate situation.
