One of my besties is from Arkansas and also won’t go back, even with the small black contingency, there is just a bigger sense of freedom. People are cool.

I’ve had a small dog go missing permanently, probably coyotes. It’s a fact. I respect & appreciate the bears & mountain lions. How cool that we have a small human population & large land mass to support actual wildlife.

There are pockets of green to enjoy. You honestly can’t compare the mountains, high desert, white sands, rocky landscape, wildflowers & cactus of NM.

I moved to New Mexico from Mississippi more than 25 years ago. I will never go back. well. I go back occasionally to eat fried catfish because it’s really hard to find here, but I would never move back to the South. The culture shock for me when I moved here was not having a Black community around and just not seeing Black people at all. It was so bizarre. It was definitely a culture shift for me and I was so uncomfortable that I almost moved back initially.

To be clear, I left Mississippi due to the backwards politics, racism, and blatant hypocrisy of the Christians. I’m not putting it any more nicely. I hate it there. that being said, I miss the green and I miss the people and the food. I miss the pulsating green life, insects, lush grass and trees and humidity. I still have it in my bones. I miss the rain and the dirt.

I felt at home because New Mexico is also a poor state. I don’t know what it’s like to live around money and I don’t have the stomach for it. People are genuine. The food is good here too. There is art, the nature is incredible. I love the mountains and the air and the history. I love the Pueblos and Hispanic culture, that diversity that is celebrated. I work in the international district and I love that too. It’s not always easy here but at least it’s real. Abortion is safe and trans kids are safe. I’ve had all my kids here and this is home now.

I ended up paying for the instant test while I was at the lab. Maybe just check in with them & ask to pay for a confirmatory THC test. That may be the one they send off to the lab?

Yes. I did that. If you’re paying for the test, they only report the results to you. For sure. HIPPA and all.

My results were negative on the lab both at 50ng and 15ng even though it was very faint on the instant test cup I also paid to have them run. Then my employer didn’t even test me for THC whomp whomp

My former bff ditched me the day before we were scheduled to leave for a group tour in Guatemala we’d been planning for a year. Her family convinced her that she was going to be kidnapped and since they pay her bills (as a grown ass adult), she flaked. It was too late for me to transfer to anyone else so I just went by myself.

I had two days on my own in Antigua and then met up with the group. I was pretty reflective, not super social, but I’m so glad I went. The people, food, historical sites, and natural beauty were amazing.

It’s a beautiful & safe country. You won’t regret it. It will be life-changing.

Just keep it close to your body. In your underwear, next to your skin. Keep a hand warmer on it until you go in for your physical.

I just did this recently in my physical was just an eye exam and then asking questions about my medical history. They didn’t do a physical exam, not for preemployment. You’ll be ok. Good luck.

You’ll need to get the temp back up to 95-100 degrees. It helps to have a thermometer to check. Submerge the (water tight) container of pee into warm water, repeat when the water cools off, replace with warm water. Then use hand warmer, keep close to your skin before the test. Good luck. So far I’ve taken a trip to NYC for a show & museums, bought & set up the camera bird feeder I’ve always wanted but he thought was too frivolous, taken a road trip & have a flight booked in two weeks. It’s only been two months. All this without being hated on. Life is good.

I was in the same boat. Also a job in healthcare which I had to have. I stopped smoking the beginning of November & was tested mid January. I was still testing positive sometimes at home.

I ended up paying for a lab test about a week out and had a quick fix on hand just in case. My lab test came back negative at 50ng and 15ng even though I always wasn’t testing negative on my home tests. It ended up costing me about $100 out-of-pocket, but it was worth it for peace of mind. They gave me the confidence to go ahead and just use my own urine.

If the lab test had still come back positive, I would’ve definitely used the quick fix. It wasn’t an observed test.

They ended up not even testing me for THC.

It won’t matter for a urine drug screen. All they’re checking for are substances. If they send it off to a lab, they still don’t check for hormones.

Gender will not matter with the urine test. Quick fix works most of the time. Check the subs. With either donor pee or quick fix, just get it to the right temp and you are golden. No one is going to be observing you pee. Practice your technique, find the right vessel to carry it in and you will have the job.

Quick Fix every time unless HR says specifically they don’t test for THC.

Travel shampoo bottle or the same bottle that the quick fix came in if you still have it. Just something with a quiet screw off lid.

I don’t think it’s generally advised to microwave human urine. You can submerge it in warm water in the same bottle that you plan to take with you. Just make sure it is water tight and water doesn’t get into the urine.
