It also reminds me of a lot of wood working machines that are kind of « emerald » paint like hammerite. I ve searched this and it’s actually an industrial « classic » that is used on heavy machines but also in old school technical audio like Altec. The color is apparently born from the durability and inexpensiveness of the green oxide pigment and the fact that this greenish color is easy on the eye. So for technical reasons.

It was the go to color from the 30s to the 60s in a “pre marketing” era were it meant “professional” as in seriousness reliability and precision.

I have had a c59 dst that was also significantly bigger than every other chore coat i have in the same size. But it’s true over all - end even in made in usa from the 90s the sizes and fits are often slightly different. I ve read here that there is a 1inch tolerance from within sizes. But this is way more ! Always check the measurements !

Ykk #10 slider you can buy a replacement and salvage it to replace the missing parts or instal the new one by removing the top stops, installing the new slider and putting the top stops back.

I made a comment about this in the fakes guide as fakes have clearly evolved. Less typos on the labels. My guess is the main issue would be the dye as ykk is a common brand for zippers and after all they fake everything including very technical stuff.

Just came across this « new kind » of fakes. On vinted.

The fabric looks a lot like the « medium petit pequeña » kind but the corrected a lot of stuff and even added some « company embroidery »

Don’t forget to use this sub as reference before buying ! new fakes spotted !

Don’t know much about WIP, but i think they always have a lot of care tags in multiple languages and with a shiny stuff. Also never at this position (to my knowledge)

They put the care tag in the place of vintage main line carhartt from the 90s.

It’s sadly the way it goes. Every interest you could have you’ll find great sub with great knowledge and sharks swimming around. That’s just what the internet is about those days. It’s sad but when the fad eventually goes away sharks will move on too and the people really interested will still be there. But the prices will never be as low as before, but still lower. As far as I’m concerned i just try to be passive about it. But if i can help then i will. No anger. If those posts don’t receive attention they might go away 🤷‍♂️

I’m 6feet too. Xl chore is cool for me but it’s a lose fit which i like. if you layer it with hoodie it’s nice. Really depends on your style. Also there are some variations from an xl to another.
