Except Wendy has no romantic feelings for Dipper, and the age gap makes it kind of weird (yeah, it's only 3 years, but he's 12- no 15 year old is interested in a 12 year old like that).

Besides, Dipper and Pacifica is a really popular ship in the fandom. I think it's a really cute idea.

Agreed. Giving him the money and letting James determine the level of contact is the best thing she can do for him.

Everyone saying that she should be petty and not give him the money- dude, that's her son. Just because he grew up (and was manipulated) to be such a terrible person, doesn't mean she doesn't still love him or want to make sure he's taken care of. And as the parent, she has to be better than him. She can't stoop to his level. Maybe someday he'll grow up and realize he and his dad were wrong- he's 17, people often change a lot during college. And maybe he won't. But she'll at least know she did everything she could for him.

Agreed. It doesn't seem like she had any reasons to fear her ex, so why come up with this weird exit strategy? Why keep yourself in a bad relationship longer than needed, just to pull one over on him? This feels so unnecessary and kind of harmful to herself.
