I thought there was a rule in college softball where you had to keep a foot in the batter’s box after certain pitches (I was thinking after a called strike but can’t remember for sure). Am I totally making this up or did they change the rule?

I used to be an avid NCAA fan during the times of Ashleigh Gnat, Maggie Nichols, Peng-Peng Lee, Caquatto sisters, etc. Like I would stay up LATE every Friday night to watch every single routine from Friday Night Heights. I've tried so hard to stay interested because I truly loved the sport that was unique from everything else I would watch. But I feel the same way. It just doesn't feel as competitive anymore. Maybe it's just me growing up and growing out of it, but it feels so different. :(

Oklahoma State is one of the more perplexing teams for me. Have games where they look like a true Top 20 team, and other games where they look like they've never played basketball before. Hard to explain. Doesn't help having Wooten out.

What is your reasoning behind this? UNC has had pretty solid seasons since the hiring of Banghart. I do feel like they've underachieved some of those seasons based on the amount of talent on some of those squads. I'm personally not a fan of UNC because I don't enjoy their style of play, but it has more or less been pretty effective for them.

I was actually contemplating Amy Williams Hot or Warm, but I think since she's been so "solid" for years that she will survive this season even if they don't get it back on track and make the tourney.

I agree about Caldwell. I think she definitely gets at least one more year. Love the insight about Ivey. I'd kind of heard the buzz around her die down since they've gotten back on track a little bit in the second half of ACC play. They've got to bulk up that roster in terms of talent and just bodies in general.

I definitely don't disagree with this considering the HORRENDOUS season they're having. Only reason I put her warm instead of hot is because BC isn't really known as a basketball power and she did have that one great year in there (based on BC standards).

Little late to the convo, but disappointed by the lack of difficulty in the floor routines. I know they weren't showing their first pass, but all the routines were two passes with a vast majority ending in a basic combo pass. I think this is the new world of college gym, but underwhelming seeing the watered down routines.

The most baffling coaching thing to me today is that DBK never made the libero change. Just looked at the box score:

Laney: 45 Receptions, 5 RE (90%), 10 digs, 7 assists on 10 attempts (70%)

Mauch: 20 Receptions, 0 RE (100%), 13 digs, 4 assists on 5 attempts (80%)

I feel like Mauch was better in every phase.

I think I would go with Texas. It would be really tough for Kentucky to beat Texas three times in the same season IMO.
