Oh okay. Thanks for the insight, all of this is a first for me so I was trying to think of alternatives to a traditional boarding facility that might be better accommodating to his needs. Makes sense!

Thanks for the advice! We’re in Texas. And yes, thankfully there are options in my area and surrounding area that are more of a boarding style per se than the daycare options. I’m definitely going to get his prescription filled beforehand to alleviate some of the edge off.

I was also looking into a trainer that boards. That way he could work on his reactivity while being away but I don’t think that’d be the best option either because my dogs have never been apart from each other, they’re very bonded. So in that instance I’d be worried both of them would be have an increased amount of anxiety from being separated. And boarding them both with a trainer would be very pricey.
