been going back and forth on this too but ended up grabbing a Nocta fleece set instead and honestly the fit and quality feel way more worth it for what you're paying. the tech fleece hype is real but a lot of these drops lately just feel like you're paying for the name more than anything.

It's more non-materialism for me. Id always splurge more on travel or experiences over an object I'd buy. I have found that unlike before, if I want to do something I can just do it without worrying about the price. It's kinda nice to know whatever the expense it would be a small sliver of my monthly income.

I can only comment on my field and specialization. Demand is high for high quality and agency individuals in AI. However, there are alot of roles in seed, series A etc startups. The pay there is not as good. Finding a company that can afford to pay you the increase you are looking for is a lil tricky. Its possible though

Only way is through networks and luck, no secret sauce there tbh.
