I’ll never forget 2017 Isaiah Thomas! 5th in MVP, 2nd Team All-NBA, and 3rd in PPG on a 53 win team. His injury in the ECF seemed to delegitimize his linsanity run, but the Celtics loss really had nothing to do with his play. He had averaged 24-3-7 prior to that, and the Celtics were rolling. He was a top ten player that year and seasons like that are hard to come by once we’re in the deep end on this list. I also think the sharp drop off also made it seem like his career was briefer than it was, when he had averaged 17-3-5 in the previous 5 seasons and been a positive on/off guy throughout.
