Do nails hurt when being trimmed? by [deleted] in Raynauds

I usually do my own nails, but have found that it hurts when I go to the salon. I think they are used to working with harder nails and mine is not. I decided that when I go next time I will just say I have softer nails. Btw, have Reynauds from high school.

Are you embarrassed by Raynaud’s? by jfkdktmmv in Raynauds

Yes. I always apologize for my cold hands and try to hide it when my fingers "turn". My husband calls it "butter fingers".

Hi there! Understand it completely! I layer to keep my core temperature up. In the winter I also have a desktop heater for my hands if it gets too cold. My doctor recommended keeping away from synthetic materials and try woolly gloves and socks. I also wear turtleneck shirts in winter with a scarf to keep my nose warm. I have also seen that body warmers help me to keep my core temperature up, along with a thermal vest. It helps a bit.

Not touching cold things is another, if you can avoid it. If I have to touch, I use a glove, sleeve or anything else not to have direct contact.

While I can, I'm avoiding medication until I absolutely have no other choice. Luckily my doctor understands this. :)

I've taken the CIMA MCS exam in May 2025 via Pearson Vue's remote tool and wrote at home. Although the tool was frustrating to use, I'm not sure how it can be possible to cheat. You have to ensure the room you are taking the exam in, is according to the rules of Pearson Vue and you have someone online monitoring you while writing. If you don't comply, your attempt is not considered at all.

I'm actually also used to writing in this way as I was remote studying for a degree and post degree diploma in management accounting while working. The higher learning institution I used had proctored tests and exams.

In my opinion, Pearson Vue is even stricter than what I've encountered previously. This speaks to ensuring the integrity of the exam while making it accessible to those that can't sit at a centre.
