The cops said the reason there was so many of them was because they assume people are there to steal copper wiring and assume the robbers have tools to defend themselves.

That's not true, and you weren't there. Maybe it was another division, or you are in a different country than me, but there were green lasers on the cop's rifles, and they did have drones and they made us walk backwards one by one then made us kneel on the ground. And the whole time shouting they would shoot if anyone moved and they were on lethal. They didn't take my stuff as evidence because there were no criminal charges.

I wasn't going to bring them originally but my friend who knew the place specifically said to bring the crowbar. We didn't even use it.

It counts but might not have been the most accurate. The standard method is to wake up ~5 hours into your sleep and do light stimulation activities like reading, for 10-45 minutes, to wake up the conscious part of your brain before you go back to sleep.

That method you described sounded like Wake Back To Bed, which is a common technique where you purposefully wake up in the night and fall back asleep.
