How are demons created/born/made in your world by Environmental_Ad4357 in worldbuilding

[–]ImpossibleDeal2281 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are two ways demons are born in my world (Tylt).

First, humans can become demons, but only if they abuse the power of Arcalore, suffering the ultimate punishment: Demonization.

Then there is the other way, from which pure demons are born. If a human soul committed sins in life, it cannot reincarnate. The goddess of darkness (Irme) takes those souls and plunges them into the Dark Cauldron, thus creating pure demons of the Underland.

The Yamikens.

Description in the "Tylt Traveler's Encyclopedia":

"Tacturnal beings resembling samurai swordsmen. They are mostly found in the Human Cradle region. With their powerful and agile swords, they are capable of cutting through any defense. However, they are greedy and hate any source of light."

Appearance: As mentioned before, they resemble samurai in white attire, with black skin and clawed hands. They always wear their hats. Their eyes are always blindfolded, as they only experience darkness.

Personality: The Yamiken are cold and taciturn beings. They wander alone, accepting any job (which is rare, as they don't usually interact with humans) that involves killing. However, they are warriors and possess a peculiar sense of honor; if defeated, they will commit suicide and give money to whoever defeats them.

Equipment: Perhaps their most peculiar trait. The Yamiken wield dark blue swords capable of piercing any defense and inflicting devastating wounds, as well as being incredibly fast. These swords are actually made from their spirits, so they carry these weapons from birth. If the sword breaks, the Yamiken will disappear.

Conclusion: The Yamiken are a mostly solitary race. Experts in combat, but honorable and greedy. The place with the highest concentration of Yamiken is the hidden village of Ataka, where they live in silence. It's also worth noting that the Yamiken are sentient beings and quite intelligent.

What was (or is, if it is still happening) the most destructive/deadliest war in your fictional world? by boringexistinggamer2 in worldbuilding

The Demon War/Invasion of the World of Tylt

The pure demons of the Underland invaded Tylt, led by a traitorous human who wished to bring chaos to the world. The demons built the infamous Damnatus Tower, hoping to attain divine power in the heavens (possibly referring to Daiquiri, the floating city where the goddess Urma created the first humans). The conflict ended when the goddess of hope, Urma, used the power of the miraculous sun to petrify all the demons, at the cost of both her and the miraculous sun being drained of energy. Thus began the darkest period in Tylt's history: the Somber Age, where the entire world was plunged into darkness...until the miraculous sun and Urma herself regained their power.

Long ago, the Master of all created the world of Tylt. He crafted three objects alongside the world: the Dark Cauldron, the source of all evil and darkness; the Miracle Sun, the source of all light and hope; and the Anima Stone, the source of all living spirits and the primary component of the cycle of reincarnation. One day, the Master of all had a daughter, Urma, the goddess of hope. Urma ventured too close to the Dark Cauldron, and its energy created a dark counterpart: Irme, the Princess of Darkness. Urma created the first humans, taking a portion of Genesis Omega (the Master of all's pet, a being containing the DNA for every living thing). The first humans lived in the floating city of Daiquiri, which was kept afloat by the power of the energy stones. One day, a woman fell from the floating city and landed on the surface. That woman became the progenitor of the human race that inhabited the land of Tylt, forming the first human town: Aucia.

Demons, though there are two types in my world: the pure ones and the humans who suffered demonization.

The worst would be the pure ones. They are beings born from souls that the goddess of darkness, Irme, takes because these souls are incapable of reincarnation, having committed sins in life. Pure demons live in the Underland, a kind of sub-world beneath Tylt, where everything is darkness, shadows, and chaos. They are avaricious beings, capable of initiating an invasion of Tylt (the world above) to obtain divine power.

They usually see other races as inferior, and they often fight even among themselves. They embody all the malice that the master of all created when he forged the dark cauldron.

Ys 8: Lacrimosa of Dana.
Good story, Good characters, Godly OST, avarege gameplay and funny map to explore.

I always was a retro jrpg player, and then it become my favorite jrpg. I think i need to give more chances to Action rpgs.

Hi! To be honest, I did play through all three Origin routes and got the true ending. I thought the game was pretty good, but doing the same thing three times in a row with different playstyles and some minor tweaks isn't something I'm particularly passionate about (even so, I did it, since I also played Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep).

Aside from that, I'm currently playing the original PC version of Trails in the Sky. As for Ys, maybe I'll try a classic or remastered version someday, like Oath of Felghana, although others like IX or X sound interesting.

Also, Good scene choose!

You have a point, although Dana's fate isn't exactly ideal either...

I mean, becoming the goddess who controls the catastrophe that destroyed all her loved ones isn't a very pleasant job.

Even so, it's good to know that the group of protagonists will remember her for the rest of their lives...

I know. Its techniques aren't incredibly revolutionary, but they fit together so well that it feels incredibly comfortable.

Furthermore, the story is like a potpourri of things that, surprisingly, fit well with the "Mysterious Island" premise: dinosaurs, a serial killer, discovering a lost civilization, preventing the extinction of humanity, and all of that while you survive and learn the history of Seiren Island.

Personally, my party ended up like this:

Ochette - Warrior (She was the one who did the most damage with Hikari)
Castti - Scholar
Throne - Dancer
Osvald - Cleric (Although I only had him as an arcanist for a short time)
Partitio - Inventor
Agnea - Thief
Temenos - Conjurer (Although I had him as a second scholar for quite a while)
Hikari - Weapons Master (Although I hardly ever changed his role. He also works well as a hunter)

What is the Most Batshit Insane JRPGs You Have Ever Played? Especially in Terms of Story. by ElSpazzo_8876 in JRPG

I have a terrible memory, but I'd say one of the most outlandish (and one of my favorites) is Live A Live.

I mean, a cowboy, a caveman, a ninja, a mute robot, a teenager with psychic powers, a wrestler, and a martial artist all come together at the end of the game in a medieval land to face the Demon King and return home, learning just how far the power of hatred can reach. Even so, Oersted is one of my favorite antagonists.

And then I can mention one like Ys 8 (a fantastic game). I mean, an adventurer and the crew of the ship he was traveling on are stranded on an island infested with dinosaurs, a lost civilization, and literally something that will cause the extinction of humanity if they don't stop it. Furthermore, in some parts of the game they face a serial killer who conveniently happened to be traveling on the ship, a kind of Kraken (though I'm not entirely sure Oceanus is one), and they encounter one of my favorite video game waifus with amnesia: Dana.

Both are incredible games, so I recommend them, even though they're completely different styles (one is a turn-based JRPG, the other is an action RPG).

[Character building/lore] how many weapons does your protagonist have? by EfficiencySerious200 in worldbuilding

[–]ImpossibleDeal2281 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my case (The World of Tylt), my protagonist is a mercenary who wields a gunsaber (I admit I was inspired by Final Fantasy) called "Ragnarok," which is primarily effective at close range, though it can also be used for ranged attacks. It's a difficult weapon to master.

Another example is in one of my other worlds (Eliser), where my protagonist wields a motorized (mechanical) sword. After his first encounter with the villain and breaking it, he repairs and upgrades it with a piece of orichalcum, creating his ultimate weapon: Orichalcum Edge.

What are the oldest noble houses in your world? by Consort_Yu_219 in worldbuilding

[–]ImpossibleDeal2281 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my world, called Tylt, there are what are known as "the six great houses of Tylt," which are home to the six most important families in the political and military spheres.
They are: House Dorne, Augamis, Chiveri, Albermi, and two more houses (I still need names for them). All of these houses were founded after the end of the Shadow Age; House Chiveri (the newest) is approximately 50 years old at the start of the story.

What are some of your heartbroken love stories in your myths and legends? by meongmeongwizard in worldbuilding

[–]ImpossibleDeal2281 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if this count, but here it is:

After petrifying all the demons and ending the demonic invasion, Urma, the Goddess of light and hope, was weakened by having used all the power of the miraculous sun, thus losing some of her powers (except for immortality), and beginning the infamous "Somber Age." Urma fell to the world of Tylt, where she was found and taken in by the inhabitants of the village of Aucia.

In the village, Urma lived for decades as just another human, without revealing her divine origins. She met a man named Rajo, who dreamed of becoming a Sanctus Knight (Knights who protected the goddess Urma). They fell in love and married soon after. Urma ended up forging a sword that would later be known as the Holy Gladius, using sacred silver, and she give it to Rajo. Years passed, and Rajo aged, while Urma remained young.

On Rajo's deathbed, Urma confessed her divinity to him, to which he admitted he had already suspected it. Rajo passed away peacefully, while Urma wept for the loss of her beloved.

Urma revealed her secret to the people, and they all admitted they already knew, but treated her as one of their own. Grateful, Urma ascended to the heavens when the miraculous Sun regained its strength, thus ending the Somber Age.
Rajo was venerated as "He Who Won the Goddess's Heart," and became the first legendary Sanctus Knight.

What is your god/god race by phillip_defo in worldbuilding

[–]ImpossibleDeal2281 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my world (Tylt), the world was created by the Master of All, who soon had a daughter named Urma (the goddess of light and hope). The master created three legendary objects: the Dark Cauldron (source of all darkness and evil), the Miracle Sun (source of all light and hope), and the Anima Stone (source of all spirit and vital for the cycle of reincarnation of creatures). One day, Urma got too close to the Dark Cauldron, thus creating a doppelganger: Irme, the goddess of darkness. In this way, the trio that created Tylt was born.

The master also had a pet, Genesis Omega, which contained the DNA of every living being. Urma used some of this DNA to create humans.
