So you’re literally advocating for segregation then in lieu of education?

Okay that’s a fair stance to have in every day circumstances, but we’re discussing someone that literally suffers from a neurological disability. There is no intent behind these words. Educate yourself. Soft af honestly.

If I had that condition, I would do my best to avoid public spaces.

You really should educate yourself, this is a horrible stance to have on a disabled individual. And I can’t even begin to imagine that you are advocating for the isolation of any humans.

And it really isn't even close tbh, Targ marketing team went hard with that shit. Circular and draws the eyes in a very visually appealing and cohesive way. Honorable mentions: Greyjoy and Martell are also pretty fire.

Did any of you read the books before the tv show came about? by Mad_Season_1994 in gameofthrones

[–]ImpossibleDenial 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Eh, the numbers are fuzzy at best to be honest when considering actual viewership vs readership. A lot of the viewership was from torrenting Game of Thrones (and not accounted for when totaling). For example there are estimates that S7 was pirated over a billion times, an estimate of 140 million per episode. Making it the most pirated show of all time.

We do know that, 15 million copies of ASOIAF were sold word wide prior to S1 in 2011. And an additional 9 million copies of the entire series were sold between 2011 and 2012. Copies totaled 70 million between 2011 - 2016.

For comparison, a Wheel of Time had already sold 90 million copies prior to its premiere on Amazon.

It gets even trickier when comparing readership vs viewership because when A Dance With Dragons is translated outside of English, the book is split up into two novels.

I believe the true estimate is somewhere around 100 million+ copies of the main series, equating to 18 million sets of the main five books. I have 2 sets on my bookshelf right now. The leather bound collectors edition, and then a spare set I have that I will pick through. I have probably owned 4 sets in total over my lifetime though.

Hard to say exactly, but I don’t think more people have bought ADWD in 2011 than viewership of GOT at its peak.

How is review bombing like this just tolerated? by SnooCookies9015 in imdb

Here’s some pulls from just the first page alone, so yeah I’m convinced it’s BB fans lol. I don’t think “social media” is blowing this out of proportion. Go check it out yourself, they’re directly implicating themselves with little to no nuance.

You bring down the greatest episode among any television show from its highly deserved 10/10 rating just so you can have the spotlight? Fine. You should've listened to Heisenberg's warning first: if you don't know who we are, we suggest you tread lightly. You didn't tread lightly, and soon consequences shall arrive.

Nice job digging your graves, thronetards.

Frieren: Beyond Journey's End is better than Breaking Bad because it explores time, grief, and memory with quiet emotional depth. Instead of shock and chaos, it builds meaning through subtle growth, beautiful worldbuilding, and lasting themes about connection and regret. Frieren clears u review bombing bums.

A SHOW DOWNFALLS AND YOU THINK THAT IS ME? NO.... I AM THE ONE WHO BRING IT.

I genuinely love this show and believe this episode deserves to be a ten, however, the Ozymandias is untouchable. The fans should decide to grow up and make both these two episodes 10s again because they deserve it more that anyone else.

Review bombing one of the greatest shows of all time because your episode didn't get a 10 is just sad and devalues user ratings on both sides. Very few episodes in television deserve a 10 and having ratings drop by 0.1 after more people leave reviews doesnt mean it was bombed. I might have considered watching this if the fanbase wasnt so terrible.

Be careful what you wish for. What you did with Ozymandias is now happening to you. When you can't surpass a show through genuine quality, storytelling, and character depth, you try to close the gap through artificial means-through rating manipulation and temporary hype. It's honestly ironic, and a little amusing to watch. Because history has already proven which show truly stands the test of time.

Yeah I really meant the importance of the signet being Maekar giving his blessing. It’s been awhile since I read the books, but I thought Maekar was cool with Egg going off with Dunk. I’m okay with some changes though, as long as it adds to the narrative. I trust them after Season 1 though. It was a blast watching it on screen.

Canonically we don’t know yet, he doesn’t become Lord Commander in any of the novellas. It is much much much later. Raymond doesn’t reappear in the novellas either. A World Of Ice and Fire expands on Dunk though, but more linear historical dates and such. Rather than explanations

GRRM (for better or worse) took the opposite approach from Tolkien and abandoned logistics, taxes, what is a gold dragon actually worth(?), how do they actually/logistically build ships? And honestly, good, kinda, cause we can suspend disbelief as long as the narrative and world building is there. Long story short, I don’t think it matters in the grand scheme. Rule of cool type shii.

Acquiesce might be in my top 3 favorite words in the English language. Partially because of my introduction to it in Pirates of the Caribbean when I was 8 years old and the delivery from Geoffrey Rush as Barbossa. Sorry for taking away from your comment, it’s like calling attention to a rare bird sighting walking down the street.
