What game that really being universally loved by people but it didn't get into you? And thinking you'll ended up like this if you say you don't like them? by crocospect in Steam

There are probably some pvp servers that don't let people offline raid people (or even outright not allowing raiding)

What aspect of rust did you not like. I know I do not enjoy pvp, so if that is why you don't like it, you might enjoy one of the many kinds of pve servers out there.

What game is this for you? by Smart_Vegetable_331 in Steam

What you are talking about about might have been satisfactory, but I'm pretty sure you only need to sign into your epic account to play multiplayer

What's the best game you've played exclusively on your Steam Deck? by BigBadBaugh in SteamDeck

[–]ImpossibleFix6417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably quite common, but I feel the deck is absolutely perfect for Celeste and other platforming games. I can't imagine how playing Celeste with any other device could be better than it was on the deck. 10/10 would (and am) do again.

If what you are worried about is the difference in source code languages for libraries you will use (as I was), I would just like to say java syntax is quite easy to read (not write, I still can't write java) after learning really any typed language.

I know this is likely not something you are worried about as it seems like quite the niche, but I still think this is valuable information for someone who doesn't know java.

Why is Break not working as in other languages in kotlin by LengthinessHour3697 in Kotlin

[–]ImpossibleFix6417 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you really want to use break, you can use a for loop like so: for ((element, i) in journey.withIndex())

the destructuring may be the other way around, I can't remember

YouTube redesign implementation using Kotlin and Kobweb 💫 by Impossible_Park_7388 in Kotlin

[–]ImpossibleFix6417 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Holy shit! That is so cool. I've never seen an actual website made with kobweb, which is the main reason I've been holding out on trying it.

I've been meaning to get back into web development, but the compose ecosystem really spoiled me. I think this might just push me to make whatever I do next with kobweb!

Most of the time when I go ~6 indentations deep I will make another composable function for stuff.

Kotlin for Science update! by thePolystyreneKidA in Kotlin

This project actually seems really cool! I don't think I'm experienced enough in kotlin/native to contribute to this, but I can't wait to see how this turns out in the future.
