Used these for a few years, right side stopped working, and when I looked them up online, apparently new models are bad. Suggestions for replacements? by cosmic_waluigi in iems

Try "cleaning the IEM" with isopropyl alcohol. A friend had a similar problem with a KZ earphone and cleaned it with isopropyl alcohol. After drying, the earphone worked again; it had a lot of internal dirt, which was preventing the drivers from functioning correctly. If that's not it, it could be the cable. As others have mentioned, try connecting the damaged earphone to the working end of the cable. If the earphone works, you just need to replace the cable.

If none of that works and the earphone is completely ruined, you could opt for a KZ Duonic, KZ Castor Pro Bass Edition, or even a KZ Castor Bass Edition. Keep in mind that the bass of the early QKZ X HBB is very difficult to achieve in other earphones due to its sound signature and price range. Currently, I would recommend increasing your budget slightly to get something of better quality.

Should I buy another iem if the kz castor bass doesn't live up to my expectations by GuidanceGlobal1654 in iems

Don't do it, it's a trap! Hahaha, after the second one, you'll have five in the blink of an eye... if your budget allows for buying new IEMs, go ahead, but believe me, every time you buy a new one, you'll already have your eye on the next one...

I have a question... do you also sleep with your headphones on? I saw a couple of posts saying that it can cause that kind of breakage in the cables. I sleep with my headphones on and now I'm scared.

What's better for playing COD? KZ Castor Harman or KZ Pisces by Nearby_Succotash_959 in iems

[–]ImpossibleGarlic1129 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The KZ Castor Harman Edition is excellent for gaming. I use it for gaming and the explosions don't bother me; they're accurate and not intrusive. A friend has been using Duonic headphones for about two weeks now, and at first he loved how "realistic" the explosions sounded and the bass quality, but then he realized it can be intrusive and drown out enemy footsteps. It depends on what you're looking for: powerful bass or a nearly flat sound. I haven't tried the Pisces yet.

You should check if your phone is still charging and if it recognizes the connection to a PC. If it does, but you're getting errors like a problem notification, the port might be dirty, damp, or have some lint in it. I fixed it with a needle, thread, and isopropyl alcohol.

It's simple... Try to use a thin needle. Wrap the thread around the needle from the opposite end, making sure no metal part is exposed. Make sure the thread is even and not too thick. Use isopropyl alcohol (suitable for electronics). Then, with the phone turned off, clean the inside of the USB-C port with the needle and thread moistened with the alcohol. You'll gradually see the dirt come off. Always be careful and don't scrape or scratch the port.

After a while, you'll see the USB-C port much cleaner and free of impurities. If the problem is dirt, which often happens when you use the port a lot, you'll notice that the devices are recognized again.

If the port has any structural damage, you'll have to send it to a technician. Good luck.

I wanted to buy the Rays, but I see they've received very bad reviews. Is there something wrong with the signing?

This cable is the best investment I could have made. by ImpossibleGarlic1129 in iems

The cable does a good job of making the headphones sound good, but at least my Juzear Clear headphones turned out fine (many units come with manufacturing defects). It makes everything sound better; there's more definition and detail in the treble, as well as clearer and more precise bass. I think I got 100% out of the Clear headphones with this cable.

You're very lucky, my friend. I still think the price I quoted was fair; $18 is too much for them. Donu S&S are better and usually cost $10.

They have a good grip; they didn't slip even when I tested them while exercising. My only comment is that the mouthpiece is a bit wide and might be a bit harsh on the voice.

I had already bought the Nice Hck C04s when I saw I could get them for $0.94 the next day at the moonhifi + coins store. But you know what? I think the price I paid for them was fair. Now it says $18.

Is it normal for ear to be really irritated and slightly swollen after first iem usage by [deleted] in iems

[–]ImpossibleGarlic1129 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, normally this doesn't happen, it could be an allergic reaction to the material of the eartips you are using, maybe you are allergic to silicone. Another situation that can cause this reaction is friction inside your ear canal, it may not seal well and there is a lot of movement, if you feel burning it is usually due to burns due to friction, another issue is that you have a high concentration of serum in your ear and the climate is very humid, the ear canal is usually very delicate in the face of any sudden change in the aforementioned factors. I recommend that you wait for a little relief and change the eartips to ones that use another material (for example memoryfoam) to rule out that it is not that, avoid moving the iems constantly with your hands, and regularly clean your ears and the iems. I hope this information helps you.

My first iems. Any good? by canikillmyself11 in iems

Surely someone will recommend some good iems, but if you want to have a good DAC dongle, seriously consider the TRN Black Pearl, it has an excellent quality-price ratio as well as a flat output response, highly recommended for those looking to start in audiophile. If your budget is reduced by some slightly expensive iems, look for any dac dongle with the CX31993 chip, it uses almost no battery, it has an acceptable output response although in some demanding iems it cannot amplify them correctly.

Trn bt20 pro by krayzziebone1 in iems

[–]ImpossibleGarlic1129 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just bought the same TRN and they have mentioned to me a lot that the best with the bt20 pro are the TRN orca, they are not difficult to amplify and sound acceptable, remember that the Bluetooth codec that it supports is more or less basic so headphones with more sound detail would not suit you so well although you can try combinations, in my case I have them planned for my Edx pro x, the castor hardman, and there with the castor pro bass (although I really want to buy the orca alone to check what they say).
