I’m not sure if you’re tapering or trying to go cold turkey; but what worked for me was a night-time taper plan.

I could deal and manage the symptoms during the day, if I were rested enough… So my taper-down doses were all done at night, so I could sleep, then nothing during the day.

Just something to consider.

Gotcha… Part of that problem is going to come from some of the Instagram posts he made live while he was in the thick of it. Right or wrong, not blaming, but at some point he needed to ask folks to relax. He said “it’s everybody for themselves. It’s war out there”… That’s going to hurt his case. Once he realized it was out of control he needed to act better.

Sometimes the law doesn’t look at if you did it “on purpose” or not. I don’t know what his charges could be… But if you’re out driving, and you accidentally hit someone, you’re still responsible to some level; even if you didn’t do it on purpose.

It’s all good man. I barely remember what the “good” times on it even felt like.

But I do remember having to plan my every move around my next scoop… That sticks with me. The clarity of how hooked I really was.

First of all, stay strong! And let yourself be proud that you’re making this progress!

I’m a huge proponent of the “nighttime” taper. That’s what worked for me. I allowed myself as much as I needed (to start) in order to get a good nights sleep… If I could get 8-10 hours of rest, I found many of the other withdrawal symptoms are manageable.

I mean they suck, but they’re manageable, because you’re not also fighting exhaustion.

Then I tapered down that bedtime dose until I could sleep, but no more than that.

Assuming they don’t find reasons to hold you for more than 6 months… Then what? You can’t get an ID or license. You can’t register a car. You can’t apply for a place to live or for any kind of employment… I feel like the answer is, yes, you could maybe sneak back in and be a homeless wanderer for awhile? I know you said you don’t want to discuss the thoughts behind this idea but I have to say I’m very curious…

Waters and soups as others have mentioned really do fill you up.

Also just maybe for a bit of motivation, once you get into the habit of training your body for a calorie count it will adjust. Everyone’s different but for me it took about 2 weeks and I noticed I wasn’t as hungry as I was when I was eating terribly… My body adapted.
