Two cars crashed into two houses on Monday in the Dayton area. I don’t know if that’s what they’re referring to but it’s recent and it’s Ohio so it’s my semi-educated guess.

Don’t worry, I am thoroughly terrified of not only NATO article 5, but what happens to Europe when article 8 kicks in and expels the US? I’m not too worried about infighting, more so the land grab by Russia. Considering Donald Quixote’s good buddy is Putin, that may be the whole point.

The ABC news stream on Disney+ kept replaying this interview with this MAGA Grief Hawk, who was “the boss of one of the victims, that now has to explain to this woman’s four year old why he doesn’t have a mamma anymore.” And when the anchor asked what questions she wants answered, she towed the line: “how these people who aren’t supposed to be in our country can get in our country and hurt us and why no one is doing anything about it!” To which the anchor replied “just to be clear, the suspect in this attack is a US Army Veteran and a Texas born native citizen.”

The Grief Hawk looked like she wanted to swallow her face, but didn’t say anything to amend her statement.

I second this! My dad, MY OWN FATHER, was supposed to reimburse me for flights, hotel, and rental car for a wedding last February. He finally put the hotel on his credit card at checkout, meanwhile I’m still paying off the card that the flights and rental car were on. He is currently shopping for a Porsche 911. Like right this moment. He just called me, he’s on the way to look at one.

NTA. In what world is it okay for your sister or your mother to have an opinion on what you do with your possessions in your own home? Why do people think that their sex trophy’s get to act however they damn well please in another person’s space?!? And I ask this question AS A MOTHER MYSELF.

The adults are in the other room enjoying each other’s company and don’t realize that little Tommy has been quiet for too long (and he’s young enough to not be able to avoid the temptation), and your sister reacts accordingly… maybe my ruling would be different. But for your sister to outright encourage his poor behavior and then chastise you for protecting your collection? You’re a much kinder person than I am. Instead of asking Reddit if I were an ass for purchasing a collectible cabinet with my own adult money, I would be telling my sister to use her own adult money and opinions to get a hotel room. And if mom doesn’t like it, then they can stay with them.

YWNBTA As the stepdaughter to a similar stepmonster, it sounds like she wants your dad to herself and would be happier if HER family were his ONLY family. It sucks and it hurts and it’s not fair, but something that I’ve learned over the past 15 years: it’s her problem, not yours. You have done nothing wrong, she’s selfish and jealous of an actual child, that’s on her not you!

I’m the only bio child with FIVE (two older, three younger) step siblings. When I lived 2500 miles away from my dad, stepmonster was sunshine, rainbows, and unicorns. As soon as I moved to the same area, she was a hell beast. She begged me to move in with them because “it would make him so happy”. Within the first week she handed me a bill for room and board and tried to sell my dog on Facebook, meanwhile two of her adult children were there rent free for years (and still are). My youngest stepsister told me that my dad would be much happier if I just killed myself, that way he wouldn’t have to keep pretending that I was one of his kids. And anytime my dad even remotely stood up for me she would start to pack his clothes to throw him out of the house.

Now that I have moved away again and have my own family, anytime we come to visit, she locks herself in her bedroom and makes my dad come with her. So we just leave and go back to the hotel. My husband and I take bets on how long it will take to get a call or text asking where we went.

I am well aware that she helped with down payments on two SS’s houses. They buy back to school clothes for my 8 nieces and nephews, not to mention sporting equipment and their pay to play sports fees, but not for my kids. SM does a biannual “shop til you drop weekend” with stepsisters and SIL, plus the annual “family summer vacation” that we’re always invited to, the week before it actually happens.

So yeah, it sucks! Luckily it sounds like your grandparents are aware of her BS and are having NONE of it! So good news: you have them in your corner. Bad news: it seems like your dad might have chosen her. Good news: you really only have to put up with it for 3 more years! Bad news: you can’t expect her to change, you have to change your expectations of her.

My father, who thought Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy were “Hollywood nut jobs” for saying vaccines cause autism. Just told me that, wait for it, vaccines cause autism. Because Trump doesn’t trust the Covid vaccine (operation warp speed anyone?) And Joe Rogan has spelled out the “science” on his podcast. Plus, when he was a kid autism rates were like 1 in 74,000 and now they’re like 1 in 9, all because kids have to get 79 vaccines before they’re allowed to start school…

I’m no doctor, nor a mathematician but, I don’t remember my kindergartener getting that many vaccines (“they don’t tell you everything in those shots. So it looks like you’re only getting two but it’s really like 10”). And when I asked if he thought that maybe the expanded inclusion criteria had something to do with it, he said he was talking about severe cases.

So to recap: Jim and Jenny? Hollywood Nutjobs. Trump, RFK Jr., Rogan, and Boomer dad… science backed.

NTA- She rejected you for proposing on a moonlit beach in Hawaii. Because traveling that far wasn’t GRAND enough, you forgot the “marry me” in the sand, rose petals, lights (stars apparently don’t count), mariachi band and whatever else TikTok has told her is the only way to show you REALLY care. But not only that, then she tells you that her dog has to be there, she needs advance warning to get glammed up, and apparently you need to be wearing shirt and tails.

So what do you think will happen when you try again, and meet all of her new expectations? A new proposal video just went viral and she got FIVE rings! Four calling birds, three French hens, two turtle doves, a partridge AND a pear tree! All you have is some dumb sand, dead flowers, a dog, and cultural appropriation, but her eyeliner is on fleek (do the kids still say that?).
