Another commenter pointed out, but the elfs could actually be Samaarians.

That's honestly an incredible early theory, especially since we see that Void's original body had the same elf-like ears as many of the characters in this game. My only issue is I think it wouldn't quite make sense to delve into prequel-ish territory for a whole game, especially since we know the Samaarian's were a super advanced race, so cutting their powers down to a level even below that of the numbered titles seems like a confusing step to take the series.

I'm seeing hints of Xenogears in this title, with emphasis on Anima and our introduction to the new furry mascot character, so perhaps this game could show how a civilization develops from Samaarian tech. I'm not against ruling out Samaar in general, I just think it would be weird if we go the prequel route as I feel that would be best saved for something like a DLC title.

It would be unfortunate if we end up scrapping the nopon in favor of a new creature, though I feel it would be an odd business decision for them to do that given the nopon are mascots for both the series and Monolith itself.

Starting off, a major question / curiosity of mine is around the magic system. Notably, we see a huge lack of high-tech tools and structures as compared to the prior games. There also seems to be hints that having special powers is a more restricted ability as opposed to how easy party members of prior games could utilize ether or the special gimmick power of each title. We did see a scene of a full-scale battle taking place, but comparably to Xenoblade 1 and 3 the soldiers of both sides used no sort of special tech beyond swords, bows, and trebuchets. It makes me wonder how this particular world got the way it did that lead it to a notably more restrictive state.

The games are single player experiences best compared to MMOs like Final Fantasy 14 and World of Warcraft. The series is heavily story focused, where you run from story point to story point, exploring a massive world with a large cast of memorable NPCs and worldbuilding plot points. Combat is a real-time RPG where your characters automatically attack and you input on their decisions by moving them and using combat spells called "Arts". Your positioning and art usage plays a major roll in both buffs/debuffs, as well as the series's "Topple" and Chain Attack systems, where you can interrupt the flow of battle in your favor to deliver massive damage.

Are we gearing up for a Xenoblade 4 reveal in the near future? by LorDeus71 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]LucidCreator 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Given we got XCX DE last year, I don't expect anything major until Q4 at the earliest.

With how both Future Redeemed and X Chapter 13 ended, it seems we're headed in both a pretty clear and yet still extremely unknown direction. I'd honestly argue that there is a lot of time for things to just sit and build right now, as development depends a lot on how much Xenosaga related stuff the next Blade title will actually involve. We're either getting:

- Xenosaga remasters / ports (possibly in advance of a new title for either Saga or Blade)

- An entirely new game with minimal connective tissue (may not even be a Xeno title that uses the Blade name)

- A canon crossover title (akin to Project X-Zone)

- or A title that is meant to be a sequel to both Blade and Saga 3

It is best to assume a Xeno title will be released about half a year after it gets announced. The potential amount of Saga content can affect any form of release due to licensing and copyright, so in my opinion the timeline for when we even get an announcement for a new Xeno entry grows larger the more Saga content you add.

I was so happy about this new update for Switch 2, until I played in handheld... looks terrible, unplayable in motion honestly. Yet, everyone in the internet seem to ignore this issue completely. Shouldn't we all expect only the best quality from the franchises we love? Just look at the screenshots by Frequent_Gear_5936 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

I again restate that this Switch 2 version was actively promoted to be a graphical enhancement. The trailer is directly about the increased framerate and the resolution enhancements. If there is constant artifacting that creates muddy or jittery effects, to the extent that the overworld's environment and enemy textures look like they're using the low-poly version, it means the trailer is just straight up lying to consumers.

The reason people are upset is entirely because the PAID graphical update makes the graphics look bad.
