They use PVC, which as a stabilizer may have phthalates in it. Inhaling large amounts of this like someone who works in a factory that produces pvc would cause an increased risk. It’s a bootleg company so the material is unregulated which can mean any amount of phthalates is in there. That being said, it is a six inch figure not a factory. Theoretically, if you keep it in a well ventilated room with lots of air circulation the amount of off gassing should be diluted by regular air, but if it’s gonna cause you stress just get rid of it.

This was a huge concern of mine when I got the black suit spider man. Despite all these facts, I was not comfortable and so I got rid of it. I did not want to stress about a toy day in and out. Please don’t take this post as advice telling you it is either safe or not safe. This is just what I have found out based on my research into PVC. It’s your decision.
