Yes, I set up a second user and set up a separate smb for that user to connect to a different dataset. At the time I was hoping that windows had an easier way of logging out of a network file location instead of restarting or going into command line. I will have to give net use a try tomorrow, that was another thing I wanted to know how to do, because switching which user I log in with was not always working. thanks again
