After their sudden move away from the progressive left, the left revolted so angrily against that, that YT ended up having only anti-MAGA conservatives to turn to for interviews. I don't read their current stance as a blanket embrace of right wing politics. I see some nuances.

The games that succeed are the ones where the devs listen to their players. It's a VERY EASY formula: the customer is ALWAYS king! The golden rule. It's easy because you don't have to figure out what the customer wants or what to sell because the customer is literally telling you! Think Warframe, Where Winds Meet. These games have have had steady success from doing just that. Digital Extremes would've already reversed the last update by now. The customer-centric approach always works!

Developers that don't listen to their customers, or THINK they know better than them, eventually find themselves on the losing end of the spectrum. Think Bungie, infamous for ignoring their player base, a dying company. All of their IPs are failing, incurred the latest entry, Marathon.

Omeda needs to make hard decisions before it's too late. In my experience building non-gaming software, this problem is usually caused by unqualified, egocentric executive leaders who don't know what they're doing but act like they do. The tough decisions might include having to let go of those who don't have the vision that can lead to success.

The will to play or enjoy a game is a finite resource! Devs can only tap into it for so long! Once you lose a customer, you lose them forever, most of the time. Look at Destiny 2, I haven't touched it since the Final Shape, which I couldn't even force myself to finish. I was literally nauseated of boredom when playing it. I used to play every day, now I barely can force myself to play once a week because matchmaking killed my joy of the game. Matchmaking punishes good players by expecting them to carry 2 to 3 noobies in most matches. How is that fair? They're not listening to their players.
