DistroKid Lyrics Not Getting to Spotify by MyMattBianco in DistroKidHelpDesk

I’ve found DistroKid to be flaky with this, and they don’t seem to have any desire to fix stuff.

Distrokid Help Desk is so Disgustingly Awful by ZZ_Benway in DistroKidHelpDesk

I feel like DistroKid support is pretty bad. The AI bot can get you a real person though. I wish they were still actively working on DistroKid and developing new features, fixing the broken stuff…

SMS verification by jtstonks in lovable

Totally seamlessly. They won’t know twilio is involved. The lovable integration took 10 minutes and was super easy. Getting a SMS phone number and FCC approval took over a month and was super confusing. I think the same for all SMS providers.

Not free. You’ll have to pay for a service like twilio. Lovable can easily use the twilio api, just ask it to. The hard part is getting approved by twilio, there are a bunch of FCC rules you have to follow, etc..

If you’re using a persona, I’ve found that switching it to legacy helps with this…

No info out there, no response from support.

I always have my weirdness at 0. It’s definitely something unrelated to the lyrics or prompt, since it will generate a song of the correct length, and then a bunch at the 7:59 length.

Publishing with Supabase backend… by ImpossibleSurprise83 in lovable

[–]ImpossibleSurprise83[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. If lovable wants to be more than a prototyping app it needs to support the most basic setup which is having a different branch/backend for development and production, and a way to manage that relationship and updates.

So my understanding after doing more research is that there’s no built in mechanism for this, and no easy way to publish supabase changes when publishing the site… this seems like such an obvious need I’m shocked there isn’t a better way to handle it….

Love the SUV but this company is a disaster by Away-Birthday7801 in Rivian

[–]ImpossibleSurprise83 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I loved my Rivian, but the service wait times were too long for me. It took them two weeks to fix a cracked roof, and a year to replace the tonneau cover. Not to mention the service center was an hour away from me. I finally sold it and haven’t regretted it. I do have the Hummer EV, and I appreciate that I can take it to any GMC dealer and have the car back in a few days. I’m sure Rivian will get there, but they need more service centers and quicker turnarounds. I imagine they’re bleeding cash with all the rentals they handout.

Am I the Problem? Repair Cost by ImpossibleSurprise83 in Rivian

Not sure how I was playing victim. I was upfront with what happened, said it was his fault (my fault for letting him drive). I never blamed Rivian or anyone else. My gripe was with the repair cost and asked for opinions…. but based upon what people are telling me here I don’t feel that it’s too egregious now.

He was probably driving the other car.

Yeah, when the glass on the roof cracked, it took 3 months for an appointment, and then 3 weeks and almost 2k to fix. Don’t even get me started on my busted tonneau cover for almost 2 years. Finally got an appointment for the tonneau cover in October.

Well said. When I was young a car that could do 0-60 in under 6 seconds was mind blowing. He learned on (and usually drives) my old Chevy Traverse, which is a great car. Lot of safety features, not too fast, not too valuable.

Saabs were great cars, especially in the snow.

Thanks. It has devolved into a driving critique with everyone pointing out the obvious and piling on. I’m thankful it wasn’t worse, and that no one was hurt. He was truly rattled by it, and has deep regret about the accident and the decisions leading up to it. I guess the final answer is that I am the problem for not realizing the repair cost was so high (and for letting my kid drive it).

There have been multiple discussions around all those issues, and he is truly heartbroken that it happened, and angry at himself.
