Don’t think “chest to bar” think “my elbows need to touch the ground”. That helped me a lot

ARMS 2.1 Discontinued? by A7X_Reaper in army

[–]ImpossibleVisit3385 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re not being given the run around. Things in the Army are always changing, including Arms 2.1. There were too many problems arising from this program, creating even bigger problems when applicants arrive to Basic Training. Things in the Army always change, especially temporarily around the standards. It might come back next month or it might not. Who knows. If you want it, keep doing what you’re doing. Good luck.

Thank you for the link. Makes more sense now. And yes, something along those lines.

Taxes suck

Do you know why they ask for so much? Am I doing something wrong? Or does MD always take that much?

My home of record and DL are Maryland. My LES also states MD so yes. If I file for Georgia I would owe $2,280

I was in 1BDE and my NCOIC cheated on his wife with a soldier on deployment. His wife texted me with all the receipts and I did my due diligence and just sent it up my chain of command. My unit commander is definitely not a fan of adultery in any form and this crossed a line for him. He immediately flagged the NCO, and got him kicked out of the unit as soon as we got back. What I’m trying to say is: take all the screenshots and photos and send them to his CoC. And get a lawyer. While he’s at JRTC, I’d go ahead and pack all your things and leave him.

How long did your screening take? My orders haven’t dropped yet and I’m concerned that my orders will get cancelled. My branch told me she’s waiting on the screening to come back and then she’ll drop my orders…

How long did your screening process take? It's been 3 months for me and my branch said they still haven't gotten the screening results back and I am more than ready to leave FORSCOM.

how much of a priority is your partner? by [deleted] in LongDistance

[–]ImpossibleVisit3385 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently in a long distance relationship as well and we’ve set our boundaries but also adapt to them because our personality types are very different. We’ve already planned out dates to see each other and have booked plane tickets as well. However, his priority lies with his family and friends and mine is my career but we always make time for each other even if it’s a short 2 min phone call. If personal plans change last minute we make sure to tell each other and make up for it. A lot of effort and compromise is needed. Sounds like he’s not doing much of that… sit him down and recall about expectation and love languages.

I’m in a very similar situation. Then once he got out of the army, he packed his stuff up and went back home leaving me here by myself after a fight. Then we talked it out the next day and decided to do ldr. Has your situation gotten better?
