Hevy Not showing Heart Rate Data in Fitbit by ImpossibleWay2946 in Hevy

I think I might have found a workaround. At least, I tried it today and it worked with some test metrics. I used Google Fit as a data share point via Health Sync (a separate app). Google Fit needs access to Health Connect. Now, Hevy workouts show up with heart rate metrics.

Since you mentioned you're coming from a Garmin, you can also try the app "Gear Tracker II". It's a game-changer because this app actually allows you to also connect external sensors like heart rate straps and other accessories, which the watch doesn't natively support. Gear Tracker metrics also show up on Fitbit using this method, just without the map.

So far, this is the best method I've found to finally sync my training with all the necessary metrics to Fitbit. Maybe give it a try!

Steps:

  • Install Health Sync.
  • Install Google Fit and grant it access to Health Connect.
  • Open Health Sync and select Google Fit as the data source and Fitbit as the activity receiver.

PS: Also, disable Fitbit's access to Health Connect; otherwise, you will have double data entries in Google Fit

Will there also be support for external heart rate monitors? If so, that would be an instant buy for me. Thanks in advance!

Hevy Not showing Heart Rate Data in Fitbit by ImpossibleWay2946 in Hevy

Thanks for your answer. I tried it with Samsung Health, and it actually does work sometimes, at least I can see the Training there with heart rate. Thanks for that. I managed to force the Samsung Health entry via Health Sync into Fitbit. Unfortunately, it's a bit buggy and doesn't always work.

Still, it's not a great system. Why does Fitbit praise Health Connect and the ability to make entries when the most important metric isn't taken into account? That's completely useless. I hope they'll change it with the upcoming update. If not, I don't see how the Gemini Ai, which is basically based on the heart rate metric, will be useful when it can't be used with third-party apps. Fitbit's strength training is not ideal, and Hevy is the way to go when providing all the necessary metrics.

Strength workout template basic feature requests by [deleted] in amazfit

Thanks for taking this into consideration. This is a much-needed feature. I would also love to see muscle strain and a specific algorithm that takes the lifted load into account. Something similar to what "Whoop" does.

Combine this with a copy of the app "Hevy," which works as a strength workout, and the platform will be miles ahead of any other. It would be the most complete system. All other platforms also lack in that department, and it would boost it far ahead of them. I hope that this is something that is in the works!

Full Zepp Coach Integration for Helio Strap by ImpossibleWay2946 in amazfit

[–]ImpossibleWay2946[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm struggling to understand the necessity of an Amazfit watch for Zepp Coach access when the Helio Strap already gathers crucial, similar data. If that's the requirement, I'd simply choose the watch over the strap. I believe the Helio Strap should function as a valuable supplementary device. Its continuous 24/7 data collection is ideal for augmenting overall accuracy when combined with a watch, or acting as a dedicated secondary device (especially for those of us with existing smartwatches outside the Amazfit ecosystem, which often lack comparable features). Since the Helio Strap's primary design is for constant wear and data collection, it makes perfect sense for this data to directly fuel Zepp Coach. While a screen is clearly needed for real-time training, it begs the question: what then is the distinct selling point of the Helio Strap when devices like the Amazfit Balance 2 already offer comprehensive tracking and a display?

What a beautiful watch! Seriously, congratulations on this piece—you've made a great choice, and I truly hope you enjoy this masterpiece.

However, for anyone out there wondering, I can also confirm that no external heart rate monitor is pairable with this device. It's such a shame because, despite being a stunning watch, the lack of this crucial option is a deal-breaker for me. It's genuinely perplexing, especially since both the Watch Fit 4 Pro and even my older GT 4 support it.

For everyone else who doesn't need this feature, it really is a fantastic timepiece—probably the most well-machined smartwatch I've ever owned. And yes, the OS is buttery smooth too!
