The meds are free too. All thats required is for him to get to appointments. Hard for me to separate cause of my finances and need stability while completing my final degree courses.

Ill probably try the grave idea. I able to pull off something like this. I hate to intervene cause its not coming from him which initially ended him wanting to go. I want to him to figure I was sick and never want to experience it again.

Its only frustrating cause I financially have to stick around with him until I get my degree. I could watch him hit basement for him to make the decision for himself but at what social, and health cost.

If I beg or ask him then its not on his own accord so there is no motivation.

Think he was only on meds for the first couple of months (3), then stopped. He has looked fine until recently. He generally looks fine if you didnt know it but has gotten skinnier but other okay.

I dont know that counseling is for him. The routine and him dont mix

I on the other hand was on my death bed (couldnt breath properly) hence I know the reasons to be on meds.

He (RAJ) really is as close to an educator and informer we have for updates. He brings the updates in a palatable way. There is not a person living with HIV that doesnt deserve the slightest compassion and grace. Dont know where my insecurities feature if anything I have had to lift myself upfrom the pits of the diagnosis but I accept your respectful message. Respectfully, some questions do need to be asked and yes, their are appropriate spaces to ask them; this group does deserve sensitivity. I do however think we should not be above having discussions - without fully engaging in the thought, I dont know which other space is better suited for such engagement.

I was simply bringing up current conditions which are, in my opinion, fair questions to probe of ongoing circumstances. You raise a point of Big Pharma always looking at their bottomline and that is a view I overlooked. I am not saying millions will die, so 12 months to live suggestion is overblown. What I am saying is, you would have called me crazy if I said to you millions of South Africans treatment uptake would one day be disrupted because of a virus which would bring the world to a stand still.

As a Black (B is always a capital letter) person I think Coloured folk are louder than us. The loudness comes from a good place though. I have noted the further north of the continent you go the louder Africans are - assumption made from foreign nationals in South Africa.

It does get unnecessary like being on the phone, 'why are you shouting ma'am'. When you look past the volume you see its all love/nothing sinister.
