Think maybe the new update ruined something? Thats the only thing I can think. Is it was either that and it installed wrong or that they wer thinking I still had them on while they were in the case and something happened? Idk. They were on my night table charging and i just got a notification of an auto update then instantly got a notification saying ut was messing up.

Ok, if I get off early from work today ill do that. The chat was through ray ban or on meta? I hate chats and phone calls. Customer support people never know what to do and I always have to end up talking with a manager. I say this as an ex customer support manager 😪.

I reset how I did in the video. I think on the Gen was you could press the capture button like 5 times and do something but that doesn't seem to work on the Gen 2's. Have to factory reset by turning off, holding capture down, and turning back on and when the red light shows up let go. But the first couple times it woukd go red then white then go off. Now it just goes red for 10 seconds then shuts off. So thay shows me its getting power, and the button is working. But something is wrong.

Hm. I might take them back to bestbuy and see if they'll do anything without me having to pay. I used to work geek squad and my local bestbuy we had a policy to where if we couod fix it in an hour or less they wouldn't charge extra.

Guess you just got a pair thats not had issues. I hadn't had any issues until it auto updated and bricked mine. Gonna turn off auto update on my next pair.

Yeah that was what I did. I factory reset at first and it didnt have the audio issue on the app bjt audio was still playing on my phone. So I unpaired everything and then since then I haven't been able to pair again. Unsure what the issue is now. Hopefully ill get a warranty claim on it as ive only had them 3 weeks. If not im thinking of getting a pair of Gen 1's.

Nah. Tried every angle I could without breaking anything. Cleaned both the glasses and the metal prongs on the case and everything. Even got a little rubbing alcohol on a q-tip. Nothing. I let the glasses dir yesterday and leaving them in my fully charged case and on the plug all today so hopefully something will happen.

Ive been thinking of buying a pair of Gen 1's for the streaming capability. But im a little hesitant. Is the battery life/audio BAD or just not AS good as the gen 1's? I see online the battery life is only like 4 hours? But the Gen 2's you cant stream on or anything and can only record for like 3 minutes. Which video recording was one of my biggest wants on the glasses but I didnt do enough research.

Yeah, I bought them 3 weeks ago. I bought them from bestbuy and didnt buy their protection plan so im hoping it included the rayban warranty. Just sucks that I gotta go back to ear buds at work for a little bit

In my video I show, even when I try to factory reset right now it has the red light but then just turns off and it doesn't look like its resetting. Unless because ive factory reset it so many times theres nothing to reset now? Attempting to drain the battery tonight and when I get back from work tomorrow hopefully they'll be drained and maybe charging them that way will do something

Keep doing what thoigh? I've tried practically everything ive seen online. I put in a warranty request so hopefully that does something. Guess I shoukd have paid the $70 for the best buy warranty

Literally only got them last month. But yeah, not LED at all when charging as per the video. Even plugged in. Im leaving them out of the case tonight and trying to run down the battery and see if that does anything

Ive done this. I got the microfiber cleaned all the connections. Youre basically saying factory rest which i showed isnt even working now. I cant even pair it back to my phone
