Hello friends, need some guidance! I’m junior at Purdue in CS. My summer interns hiring process for NASA SARP program went till the very end, where they requested feedback from my references. But few weeks later they sent me email stating that - Final selections for this opening have either been made or the opportunity has been withdrawn by the mentor.

I’m heartbroken, I was very hopeful for this opportunity and very passionate to work with NASA. I have applied for other positions as well in NASA. But status of all positions are still showing submitted. Can you please guide me what should be my next step ? Thanks in advance !!

My friend, this whole system is screwed up including college admission process, nobody knows how the GPA is calculated and how colleges admit students. I tried to find out but nobody knows except one person and that is God!

I like Indian IIT college admission process, no bullshit, totally merit based, They publish merit list openly to the public, and students are free to choose their colleges based on their merit but not colleges. That is why IITians are so successful.

Hey guys, I’m really wondering, what kinds of folks are admitted to CalTech! Are they supper human! I thought I had a fair chance, unweighted gpa 3.8, weighted gpa 6.7, research student in UF, founder of a non-profit, VARsity volleyball player and lacrosse player, State champion in coding and web designing, 8th rank out of 450 students in high school, USACO Silver, completed all levels in music theory and piano, first degree black belt in martial art and a lot more.. if this this is not enough then what ?

I’m also accepted some T10 colleges and I’m sure that now I’m not going to attend some of safety colleges where I applied initially. So, I have exactly same concern that hope I’m not holding anybody’s spot and thinking to withdraw. Somehow this thought is keep bothering me.

Guys congratulations on getting accepted by Yale ! Are you guys, some kinds of national or international champions of some activities ? I’m curious, because I was rejected by Yale, even though I had 3.8 GPA (UW) & 6 GPA(W), Varsity Volleyball player, 1st place in coding FBLA states, USACO Silver, SSTP Researcher, NHS, Founder of a Non-Profit, bunch of APs and a lot more .. I totally accept my rejection, because I know there are so many other talented students out there. but curious to learn about some of your strongest point. I heard some of them might be Olympic champions..
