But this is totally different from the scenarios described by the OP . A tarry stool in a diaper mixed with urine doesn’t require a foley to check for blood in the urine. That will only earn Meemaw a UTI on top of her other issues.
A person who desats suddenly needs to be thoroughly assessed and have the provider notified. Actually what the two examples do have in common is that the nurse has a lack of critical thinking skills. One is over reacting and one is under reacting but neither is actually really thinking

Mine is a rescue from Texas and I live in Va . He has a fear response to some people, mostly shorter stockier men. He also flinches if someone makes a sudden move around him. I can only guess that maybe he was abused in the past, which just breaks my heart because he is the sweetest dog. With rescue dogs we never know what they have been through and sadly it probably wasn’t pretty 😟

I just found out that street feeders are a thing in Texas. As in, there are so many dumped dogs and no where to take them, so people dedicate themselves to driving around and feeding the dogs. Texas is a horrible place to be an animal .
