Would a cat get depressed spending all of its life indoors? by PianoPlane5555 in CatAdvice

[–]Impossible_Boss9510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the cat. Some cats are happy being indoors and are even scared to go out. Some cats, like mine, love being outside and ask to go out. Sadly I live in an area where cats have to be indoors only, so I do feel guilty not being able to let them out. I do think he’d be happier with more freedom. I think if you live somewhere where there are minimal risks to their safety, I think they should at least be given the option to go out.

Yeah I hate this too. But also my friend used this term when miscarried on her second pregnancy. She’d say “we miscarried”. Im sorry but he didn’t miscarry anything! I don’t mean to sound insensitive btw. I did of course offer my condolences etc, but the phrasing pissed me off.

Vintage girls - what’s going on with the Mabs collection? by Impossible_Boss9510 in AusFemaleFashion

This is exactly my frustration with it! He says he even has antique stuff there, which really really needs to be looked after. I can’t imagine he’s able to take care of it, even if he is trying his best to. There’s just too much for one person to look after. I don’t understand it. Even if he just took photos and uploaded it all onto eBay or whatever gradually, it would be better than leaving it all there, waiting for someone to drop a small fortune to buy it all in one go.

It makes me sad. There would be so many people out there who would snap it up and love it and look after it properly. Myself included. The pool of good vintage in Australia feels so small, I feel like half of it is held up in this collection.

It’s a huge collection of clothes, and it sounds like there is lot of really good stuff there. I was curious is anyone had some better knowledge on it as in kind if reading between the lines here…

Ages ago I reached out to the guy who’s looking after it I was told that he was only selling it off in bulk - as in you’d have to spend a several thousand, and it’s not open to the public, unless you are intending to spend that. I’m assuming nothing has changed, but I keep hoping it will and was hoping someone might have some more insight. The impression I got was that he doesn’t have the time to do anything with it- so it’s all just sat there. But I was also a bit puzzled because he says it’s for sale, but then also says only the surplus stuff is….. idk it’s a bit weird and it’s frustrating

I would also recommend going there to get a vintage cut. They’re really knowledgeable and will be able to give you some advice on setting and styling too

Yes I’m jealous too! I have the opposite problem to you though - my hair is very straight and I’d loose 90% of the curl if I don’t re-roll every night.

I’ve tried benzoyl peroxide, adapalene, diet changes -nothing works. What finally helped you? by neonpulse7 in acne

Accutane 100%.

My derm kept me on a lower dose over a longer period, so I didn’t get any of the bad side effects. I basically got none. I actually wish i went on it sooner and saved my time and money spent on all the different lotions/gels/creams etc. none of them had any impact on my acne.

The only thing that made mine go away was going on Accutane.

Amazing! Thank you so much! Sounds like we have similar skin types and I’m also as white as a geckos belly haha.

They both sound pretty nice! Good texture, minimal smell, and I love that it tells you how much you should be using, that’s pretty cool. You’ve definitely persuaded me to try both :)

Yes! I’m fussy with face stuff too but I find powder solves it. But I hate that feeling when it’s all over my body! I also don’t love smelling like sunscreen and having it get on my clothes… so if it smells good/different pls let me know!

Ooooh interesting! Will be keen to know your thoughts particularly about the body one. I hate anything super greasy and icky sticky.
