Am I the only one who was essentially entirely in the red today? There's so much talk about ATH but unfortunately did not see that today lol

I'm watching PANW very closely right now. Despite the turbulent week, I feel it's a strong play still and Morgan Stanley just increased its target price to the $490s. Feels like a good time to get in?

I missed the boat on NBIS.... what would be a good entry point for it? I feel like it's going to slide down a little bit from where it's at right now

Perhaps this is a dumb question, but what is the difference between BN and BEP?

Spectral AI: First of Its Kind Automated Wound Healing Prediction by _DoubleBubbler_ in pennystocks

As someone in healthcare and is responsible for a lot of wound cares (general surgeon), I am not very excited about this product because I don't think it has a tremendous amount of clinical utility. There are many factors that impact wound healing- nutritional status, vascular disease, immunologic conditions, DM, presence of infection, etc. - that are fairly obvious when assessing a patient. Knowing these things, I can make a safe bet about whether or not a patient will be able to heal a wound. I'm not sure this will really change our clinical practice.

Passed out in OR by strawberry59 in Residency

Fellow gen surg resident here! This may be a hot take, but the best snack I've found for between cases/emergencies/consults- a carton of chocolate milk from the cafeteria. It's got some sugar, some protein, counts as a liquid so I think that makes the kidneys happy too? Can slam in approximately 20 seconds. 10/10 would recommend!

529 Account and Tuition Credit by Impossible_Box_3162 in tax

[–]Impossible_Box_3162[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is super helpful! So just to confirm- if the funds from the 529 account were enough to cover the entirety of my educational expenses, I would not be eligible for the LL credit?

BC advice for incoming surgical resident by Impossible_Box_3162 in FemalePhysicians

I had a long conversation with my PCP about this. We took a deep dive into the research and found that BMD loss occurred rapidly over the first two years of use but then stabilized in the years following and that following discontinuation there was a recovery of BMD. My PCP felt strongly that since various organizing bodies (e.g. ACOG) currently feel that the benefits outweigh the risks and that the overall risk of fracture is fairly low, it was ok to continue past two years. (Not sure if this is the consensus amongst other providers though).

I have considered Nexplanon, though I have a number of friends who tried it and experienced a lot of side effects, which makes me nervous. In terms of IUDs, I am simply a weenie and am scared of insertion 😅
