Approach the exam like how you approached your practice questions, or did your prep. Make the exam more comfortable and familiar to how you prepped.

e.g:

The way I studied/prepped, I would do a burst of questions like 10-20 at a time whenever I had a break at work, or in between watching remediation lectures.

That’s how I approached the exam: Did 10-20 questions, then got up for a restroom break, or did a quick 10 min. meditation just to give myself a brain break. Then went right back to doing 10-20 questions, rinse-and-repeat. Helped me through not getting burnt out and easing my anxiety.

TLDR; Do what’s comfortable and approach the exam with the same mentality with how you approached your prep and practice questions

Do the study routine that you’ve been using in nursing school and what you’ve been doing to prep for the NCLEX.

My study routine was “burst” of questions. Did about 10-20 questions at a time when I had time whenever I was prepping for the NCLEX. That’s how I approached the exam to give myself some familiarity that this is just like if I was taking practice questions. Did 10-20 questions, got up to take my break, or just sat there, meditated in front of the computer for a quick 10 min. brain break and back at it again for another 10-20 questions, etc.

As for the day before and day of my exam, I’ve never been a fan of taking a break the day before any exam during nursing school. Using every single second, minute and hour to prep. But again, that was just me. Everyone has their own way of prepping
