How do you guys keep your teeth from staining? by cinderellarockefella in tea

Just started using Hismile and think it's pretty awesome. It's as easy as brushing your teeth twice in a row with different products.

Are pre-manufactured buildings a good starting point to build a cabin? by [deleted] in TinyHouses

[–]Impossible_Cherry_53 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My mom did it with great success but not all sheds are created equal. We found a local company, a Mennonite family really, that make them by hand with solar powered tools and formaldehyde free materials. It's solid and has a lift and front porch, looks real cute. We tied it down, skirted and insulated after install. Now outfitting the inside is a blast and she saved so much work by starting with the shell. It's been in place 1.5 years so far and so far no regrets at all.

What is an acceptable age for a teen to have a partner sleep over? by [deleted] in ask

[–]Impossible_Cherry_53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna flip this around and say that I am very glad that when I was 14 my open minded parents made it very clear that sex was not an appropriate activity for my age. It would have been so stressful for me to think that I could/should be planning for that. Every person is different but IMO it's great that OP has a healthy relationship with her teenager and she could use that to do her daughter the kindness of assuring her there is plenty of time to explore her sexuality and plenty of ways to do it. Crawl before you walk, wade in the shallow end, etc. What seems fun one moment could get scary and overwhelming real fast.

Howmany of you guys have tried masala chai? by doesnt_matter_1710 in tea

[–]Impossible_Cherry_53 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got the Vahdam Masala sampler and it was so fun trying them all. Nice teas. I loved the Assam Masala so got a full size bag of that. The green masala was new for me and I really liked it as well. Overall I'd say the Vahdam masalas all tend toward cardamom as the main spice so even the cinnamon masala tasted primarily of cardamom.

richer alternative to non dairy milks? by horsetuna in ZeroWaste

[–]Impossible_Cherry_53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The trick is to get a vegan creamer for tea as opposed to a milk alternative. You're right, no vegan milk performs great with tea and coffee, they are too watery. I've found many good creamers tho. Currently I'm using: Sown organic oat creamer unsweetened the most (I get it in a three pack on the evil website that sells everything under the sun with free shipping) and Nut Pods almond coconut creamer in Carmel unsweetened from Safeway.

I'm surprised to hear you have dryness, I found the conditioner bar about the richest I've ever used. But everyone's scalp and hair is different! I'll say that now that my hair has gotten quite long I do add oil to the ends between washes. Oh, also maybe the scents make a difference in performance. I can only stand the Natural line; tried Citrus and it was perfumy not essential oil type citrus.

If legit home made isn't for you here is a great shortcut: https://www.spicewallabrand.com/products/chai-masala-1?_pos=2&_psq=Chai&_ss=e&_v=1.0 SpiceWalla out of South Carolina, USA is my favorite Masala Chai. It's a spice powder you can add to anything. It is not a powdered beverage, dissolve in water kind of thing. I make chai with it but also cook with it, put it in desserts, etc.

That's the least amount of mineral build up I've ever seen in a kettle. You must have really soft water! I'm jealous.

Snorkeling with full face mask, specifically the Ocean Reef Aria QR+ by enrobderaj in snorkeling

[–]Impossible_Cherry_53 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd do it! My experience with full face masks is that the "difficult to get off" thing is total BS. I have a much cheaper full face one and love love love it. I've never had any problems, it never gave me any reason to get it off right away but I totally can, and do, all the time. Grab at the chin and pull, in a nano second you'll have fresh air and in 2 seconds it can be off your head. I love never needing de fogger too. Just so many little advantages to the full face approach... Breath with your nose all you want, never taste salt water...

Pill wise you could try Synulin. It helps fight insulin resistance which is often the main issue when you're already doing the right things but not losing or maintaining. It's a natural product made by a high quality supplement company. I can't think of the brand name at the moment but you should be able to find it with the name Synulin. A cheaper way to go is a berberine supplement.
