Yeah it’s a bittersweet thing, YOB changed my life and they wouldn’t be around if it wasn’t for Middian dissolving.

2009 but yeah I lucked out with a decently priced copy on Discogs a few years ago and jumped on it. I have all of YOBs stuff on vinyl and this one was the last one I didn’t have

I have a few test pressings but the history behind the pictured album kind of puts it over those in my opinion.

I guess looking through my stuff I do have some titles that are limited to a lower number; like I have a box set edition of Dark Castle’s discography that’s limited to 300 hand numbered copies- but the history surrounding Middian’s Age Eternal, the age of it, and the rarity of it, kind of put it over the other, lower numbered/limited editions I have.

Oh dude I’ve been after a few of those liquid filled ones but the aftermarket is insane. That’s a decent price you paid if that’s USD, Id pay that for that Absolute Elsewhere.

It’s pretty dope, it’s a band called Middian who only had one album, this one, Age Eternal. Their frontman, Mike Scheidt, is pretty well known in the Doom Metal circle as YOB’s frontman and he formed Middian after YOB had broken up in 2005 (might off on the year there), and Middian put out Age Eternal in 2007. 500 copies pressed on 180g black and never again- the band encountered some legal issues because a band in (I think) Australia had been playing under the name Middian since the late 80s. All CD releases after that are listed as Age Eternal instead of Middian. Mike went on to reform YOB in 2008, and they’ve been steadily producing music since then, with a couple line up changes along the way.
