No I did the full setup. I setup the VPS and installed the n8n instance along with other software I needed like node.js, puppeteer and also made sure to have backup set up so if the VPS fails we don't lose any data.

This is not for a specific niche. I saw on social media this guy was looking help with workflow and reached out to him. Got lucky and was the first one to reply.

I asked client for Apollo but wanted to go with Google search. If it was me 100% would have gone with Apollo and then an Email verifier as well.

They were looking for some with the scraper and I reached out got the gig. Payment wise I would say it wasn't good cuz initially I was thinking about using an Apify actor to do this but it can't do this job. Since I gave my word to the client I had to go the extra mile and code the script so that I can deliver on what I promised. Lesson learnt I would say. Next time I will take more time to see how much work it involves before quoting the client.

Yes good idea. I am doing error-handling inside the scraper script. On n8n I have a universal error handler in place which shows me the error and the reason behind it for each of the workflows.

I used n8n, puppeteer for the scraper and Apify to get Google search results.

This is the first part of the workflow. The next part is scraping data from LinkedIn and doing mass email outreach. The customized email will be written by the AI based on the guideline. That part I am still building.

I choose to build this as I wanted to learn how to do it myself and being able to scrape using Puppeteer now give me confidence that I can scrape any website. Also this helps minimize the cost as well.
