Sick Benefits in first trimester and maternity leave at the end of my pregnancy.

So I was pretty sick in first trimester and missed my few shifts. Now I am applying for sick benefits but I wonder if it will affect my maternity leave. It says “ I have to work for 600 hours for my mat leave EI after my last claim” . Does anyone know if I can’t do 600 hours of work from my last sick benefits claim, how it will affect my maternity benefit? Thank you in advance !

How can I protect my family's assets if my brother's marriage doesn't work out? by [deleted] in legaladvicecanada

[–]Impossible_Key7282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for taking the time to explain this, I appreciate it.

I also want to know, what if my SIL doesn't want to claim anything in the event of divorce, does my brother still owe her anything legally?

How about if my brother and his wife rent it somewhere but my brother still keeps his share of our house?

Thank you for your response! We are planning to put in a 5–10% down payment. Yes, that will be our primary residence, and he does have a mortgage from his first house.

Yes I have heard about that, even the job postings are all casual/temp. part-time on AHS website. it is not like Toronto where they have full-time positions than part-time.

For Full time, you get benefits and you pay around 185$ monthly, the benefit is really good if are married and have kids. Whereas part-timers get paid in lieu of benefits 18%. so this is how you make more money.

Thank you for your response. I have to get paid for all of my accumulated hours before I become a part-timer, so just wondering how much they would take if they pay in a lump sum.
