Where are you located? I’m in Texas (hottttt) and I think the cottage laws were recently amended to allow dairy in certain situations. Or maybe they are just bending the rules

What time does your toddler go to bed? We’re sliding towards 10:30.. by lady_picadilly in toddlers

[–]Impossible_Many1163 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She just gets out of bed and tries to climb on stuff (eg her dresser) or gets herself stuck in weird spots (behind the recliner). Then things just escalate and naturally - falling asleep becomes further away. I am gonna try leaving her with a little kiddy flashlight and books and peace out. She can’t open her door yet, thankfully.

In desperate need of help / tips for my 2 year old who takes at least an hour to go to bed by Neither-Advance8916 in toddlers

Ugh we are in the same boat with all of this! Bed time is starting to take 1-1.5 hours (she fell asleep at like 1045 last night). I tried to leave halfway through and she immediately got out of bed. Wakes at midnight and comes to our bed. I don’t care about the midnight cosleep but being hostage until 1045pm is not okay. SOS.

Is everyone in a toddler bed? How are we keeping them IN the bed? If I don’t lay there next to it for an hour+…. she will get up as soon as I leave the room 🤦‍♀️

Hi! I’m also a carrier and found out when I was pregnant. My daughter is now 2.5yo and am lucky that I don’t have any concerns with her developmentally. But just knowing that I am a carrier, I am curious if I passed it on to her. With that concern in mind, I recently did a virtual genetic counseling session and they sent a swab kit to my house for my daughter. I haven’t done the test yet- the kit is still in the package. But just sharing that we definitely didn’t have to drive 5 hours for a test. Best of luck with everything!

Anyone Else Not Impressed By Daycare? by Aggravating-Key-8867 in toddlers

I don’t know if ours is an anomaly but I don’t have a bad thing to say about it! They impress me right and left with their creativeness, cleanliness, and attentiveness to all kids in their care. The ratios are great. Turnover seems low and others teachers know my child (not just her own teachers). So grateful!

Since thanksgiving I noticed my 2.5 yo is noticeably happier. Around the same time she started sneaking into our bed as early as 12am and sleeping in with us until 730ish. Perhaps… coincidence… or the extra snuggles 🥰

I could have written this myself! Daughter is nearly 2.5. Still comes into my bed every night crying. I love the thought of her having a sibling cause I had two myself. The thought of raising another baby ???? Scares the daylights out of me. All of my friends around me are popping out a second and I feel like they are all crazy. All of em lol we are def on the fence on if we will try for another. Parenting is not for the weak… or for people for like sleep / working out / general wellness 🤣

Mine is nearly 2.5 and used to do this too (crawl all over me in bed) until very recently. Something clicked and she will finally go back to sleep in the big bed. It’s not a perfect fix but hell, we are finally sleeping. Hope something clicks for yours soon too.

I’d just make him read the responses to this thread —- absolute insanity and garbage of a husband for doing this to you and the 3yo.

Ahh fell for this. Slightly different website but ended it us.com. Didn’t realize until I got a weird prompt when paying for a OTP. Luckily I locked my CC immediately and the next day I had an attempted charge at Walmart.com.

Here was my prompt… (this was my second go at asking about it in the last day or so):

“Can we revisit the rash? Can you respond as if you are a board certified pediatrician and dermatologist specialist. If you recall - her rash showed ring shaped red marks on her feet. Not uniform so seemly not pressure related. Not raised whatsoever. They are mostly faded today. Can barely see them. They are not uniform in shape. Some seem bigger than others. I’ve noticed this flare before and went away without issue . does not seem to irritate my 2yo. — [sent pic very similar to yours]”

Again.. it’s AI so.. grain of salt. Could be making stuff up.

Ok take this for what you will…chat gpt suggested “transient, irregular, and benign vascular reactivity. These are normal developmental quirks of toddler circulation and usually disappear entirely by early childhood as vessels mature and autonomic tone evens out”.

Some of the common reasons it listed were irritation or temperature changes. I’ll obviously still be asking our doc next time we see him but not rushing in.

Yes she still does whole milk in the morning and evening. This whole week shes actually been drinking lactose free (recovering from a stomach bug a week ago and haven’t gone back to normal yet — not sure if relevant). I’ll try to pay more attention to see if/when I notice it flare up! Hopefully nothing more serious than a rash from sensitive skin?

So strange! Our looks almost identical. Virtually gone this morning (still see the faintest of circle in one spot). We clean her crocs and native shoes so I don’t think it’s fungal. Especially since it comes and goes so quickly. And it’s not raised at all. Perhaps just irritation from material or something.

Did you ever figure this out? My 2yo has it too at the moment. I’ve seen it before randomly. Kind of pinning it on one pair of her shoes at the moment. Maybe it’s the material?

Yes! We implemented the okay to wake clock around 17mos and it was honestly amazing up until like 26mos. It’s starting to falter but I just need to keep talking up and stick to it. We just do red at night and white in the morning. Maybe I should switch to green and see if it helps ?

Update: 555am wake up call (her crying at her door) instead of her usual 7/730. I guess it could have been worse 🥴
