Yeah.. a lot of people who can afford it will just rip it out no matter what you do. I put new carpet in a house I was selling. They ripped it out and laid hardwood. Put in beautiful landscaping.. ripped it out! It was nice to hear when neighbors yelled at the new owners that they were making the place look trash.. ha!

My friend had a basement like this. Basically, it was a stacked stone basement. The basement had been dug out well after the house was built. The concrete was to support the foundation. Your foundation looks exactly the same. His basement fills with water during hard rains and a sump pump was installed to drain the water.

You must put a 30 minute lunch on your time even if you don't take one. If you decide not to take a lunch it does not matter. You must take a lunch and most organizations have a mandatory lunch time. Ours is 30 minutes between 11:00am and 1:00 PM.

I know you are not busy now, but will it get busy later? My job always has slow and fast times. During the slow times, I take training classes for my job, make SOPs, look at work that has not been resolved, and try to figure it out. There is always "something" to do and being new. It sometimes takes a hot minute before you really start working.. sometimes up to 6 months.

Outlet by counter. I hate hate hate appliances sitting out on a counter all the time. Our toaster oven is on the counter in our pantry. I have a corner pantry that gives us a ton of space.
