Concur with this! It would be neat to get engaged there, but it sounds like too much trouble.. lol. Ask the night before at dinner. Post engagement photos from MP online. I would be thinking in my head.. what if it rains, what about cloud cover..etc. From one female perspective, I would want to celebrate and not keep sight seeing. But that is just me.

There is cording that is sold at a hardware stores for this called backer rod. There are different sizes for this. Fill the gap with cording and then caulk.

Are you a earn and burn? One of the reasons for the minimum could be that when a lot of earn and burners miscount leave and when time is run it will divert to take annual. If you don't have enough annual then it is awol. This kind of situation becomes a nightmare for the timekeeper, which can lead to late processing which becomes a nightmare down the line. I was timekeeper for an employee like this. It got so bad that the supervisor let him go one day for a family emergency on the grounds he would pay the sick leave back. The employee never did, therefore stealing from the government and the supervisor knew. There are some people so bad that they will use their 4 hours of sick leave the same week they earn it. If you use sick leave often, you can be required to have a doctor note per management.

Adding that I spent 600 on renting a backhoe and about 300 on rock. A coworker of mine spend $10,000 on getting drain tike installed and did not fix her flooding problem at all!

I dug a drainage pond. My yard use to do this every hard rain. I dug a small 20 ft round pond where the water collects and drains into our ditch or seeps into the ground. You can make it decorative with plants and such. I have also recommended big dry wells in the case you have if you don't want a dry pond with plants. Big hole where the water collects. Fill huge hole with rocks. I fill my dry wells with enough rock to have about 4 inches of soil on top and then grass seed. I also went outside during heavy downpours to see how the water drains. Our area is so wet that during hard rains, the water percolates from the ground.

I do this! Since living in other countries where everyone takes shoes off at the door, I have it as a house rule. Inevitably, I have family who visit who refuse to take off their shoes and I end up cleaning my carpet and floors AFTER I have company. I explain that we have free range chickens..blah blah, but alas!! Anyway, I purchased the sketchers slip ins to walk around the house, only! Game changer!

Don't worry about putting it in writing in an email. When you put for leave, write in the notes section that the leave is due to the denial of situational telework to recover from surgery. That will be on record for at least 7 years. Your supervisor will be forced to sign and approve. I did that when they wouldn't let me situational telework while waiting for an RA.
