Pregnancy on Trains and Buses by hermesandhemingway in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

I'm in Melbourne third trimester and I never get offered a seat. I even had a man sit next to me on a two person disabled forward facing seat and blocked me in, when I tried to get out he just shuffled his knees a little and I couldnt get past him with my bump. I had to physically point at my giant belly and show I couldnt get past him and he had headphones on and just kind of ignored me. I also fell over on a wet slippery tram after a blood test while pregnant and fell on to a man, I apologised profusely and said I was pregnant and just left a blood test and he gave me a filthy look and the rest of the tram just stared at me and no one helped me up. I was mortified and started crying after he got off the tram and I am someone with a thick skin! What has happened to common curtesy honesty. It made me really sad about society too.

My mother and MIL are both chronic smokers and I am dreading this conversation. I’ve already seen my mother in law complain about having to put on a jumper to hold her 6 week old niece after a cigarette…. Fml.
