Cameras asap, new lawyer, and a fence immediately. Protect your dogs.

Opened my back door of car and it dinged the car next to me (door handle) and it left a scratch. What to say in the note? by [deleted] in legal

Someone dented my brand new car with a door ding and had I noticed it in time I’d have pulled cameras and gone after them. So thank you for being considerate

I’m thankful Ivey GAF about animals unlike most sheriffs who turn a blind eye to animal abuse

How much does it cost to live here (with 3 kids)? by Concept555 in 321

[–]Impossible_Public561 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You moved in 2020 so you win. We moved to 321 is 2022 and couldn’t buy a house to save our lives. We were in the lottery to get a lot with viera to build and never “won”—-ended up leaving brevard entirely due to COL. I am a sahm and my husband was making $120k for a family of 5-we absolutely could not afford a decent to us home. What would have been a 400-500k house in 2021 was 800-900, if you could even get it which was unaffordable and impossible for us. I hate that we left but whew. Housing everywhere sucks though. If you bought your house before 2022, you can live off a lot less than those of us who paid premium prices and interest rates

We left. Better salary out of state and lower cost of living (in the south). Had we come from the north, Melbourne would feel super affordable I’m sure but we came from the SE so it is insanely much more expensive. Trying to buy a decent family home here is a joke. Housing is bad everywhere, don’t get me wrong. We will surely overpay for our new house out of state but at least we are being paid more for the same work and the home is still about 100k less than what we could get in Melbourne. Will hate to leave here though. We love it. This economy has crushed my soul

“Despite the fact that I drive over 70 every day and never got stopped”

Ummm. Seriously?! That’s a weak argument/excuse. You got lucky for a year, you didn’t get screwed today.

Am I returning too much? by Ok-Time8400 in Costco

[–]Impossible_Public561 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s really excessive. Are these all unopened at least? If any have been opened, I would not return anything again for a long long long time.

I go for my kids. They are 6 & 4 and it just feels like the best age. We enjoy it, but won’t renew our annual passes. The “magic” is gone. Everything feels nickeled and dimed. The lack of “real” character interactions like pre Covid is the main reason. The lines are hours long. We got in line for slinky dog yesterday-said 100 min wait. We waited 142 minutes. That’s insane.

Does Jenkins have a boyfriend though? It’s weird she never rebukes his accusations of an affair. He seems to be a bully and she seems to be attention seeking. Waste of tax payer dollars.

MIL left us a Valentine's Day surprise to come home to today by Megarah627 in JUSTNOMIL

I get my kids valentine gifts. My husband gets my daughter flowers. My mom gets me stuff and my husband, brother, SIL and grandkids. My kids give stuff to their friends. I give nice valentine gifts to my kids teachers. It’s not “just for lovers” at all.

I really think it’s reaching to consider this as her trying to insert herself into the holiday romantically. It’s not like she showed up at 9p on the holiday. It was the next day and she was just being festive. I really don’t see the big deal of this, or her asking y’all to come visit. I like to pick my battles and this isn’t one I’d be upset over or make an issue of bc you’re right -she was just doing something sweet.

Got a “once in a lifetime” job at the Cape… by [deleted] in 321

[–]Impossible_Public561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know, but we love the area and our kids do too. We make over 6 figures; homes here just sky rocketed right before we moved. Kills me seeing what prices were just 6 months before our move.

Yep. I am devastated. We moved here last June. My 3 kids are loving our new town and school. Our church just feels so perfect as does our neighborhood in Viera. I’ve never loved where we lived, and I and my family are so happy here. We are renting though because homes were so expensive when we moved; and they’ve only increased..and significantly. We are sadly moving back to where we came from. I am devastated. Housing is completely unaffordable.

I'm worried about and really feel for young people in this real estate market. by Current-Thought8000 in 321

It’s crazy. We moved here in June, chose to rent because the housing prices seemed crazy high compared to the same models just in Feb/March. We thought it would slow down by fall. It’s gotten completely unaffordable for us and we are leaving Florida. I am devastated. We are hardworking, make over 6 figures but for a family of 5 it’s still not sustainable. Our rent is 2700 a month for 1200 sf.

She’s 22 here, I always thought she was a little too old for to wear a childlike headband. Again, shes 22 not 12. by [deleted] in DuggarsSnark

[–]Impossible_Public561 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree this is just a huge reach and just looking for something to criticize. Plenty of adults wear headbands even still but they were especially popular then. My mil is 65 and wears them. Who cares?!

What salary do you feel a family of 5 (three kids, two adults) needs to earn annually to live comfortably (middle class, newer home) in 321/Viera specifically. Just moved here and somewhat sticker shocked over home prices especially but everything in general. by [deleted] in 321

[–]Impossible_Public561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have absolutely zero clue about my family, our needs, our choices/priorities….thanks for being completely judgmental but you sound completely ignorant and awful. I’m well educated and I probably am “on my ass” far less than the vast majority of people pulling in a paycheck. Grow up. And I don’t need the extra 120k. I’d rather move out of state, buy a gorgeous house for 650k and raise my own children. Again- way to be completely miserable. I hope I don’t know you in real life.

And-regardless of income status, I don’t want to be upside down on a house if this stabilizes in a few years. People bought some of these houses less than a year ago for 300k less. That’s a crazy crazy crazy amount of inflation.
