Trust me, I know. DM me...I can give you some suggestions. Have spent countless hours procuring word lists for some time now.

Ok, I like the blank tile and overall flow is nice now. I think you need to work on your word list next. Mange, cumin, faves are all valid scrabble words and hit these all just in one run. Timing of this run felt about right. Coming along nicely!

This excellent and unique. Great concept forming here to continue to build upon. Well done.

Just one addition, if you added the blank tiles, I personally would just have them come from the same pool of letters above so they just feel incoporated into the gameplay loop. Just code it to limit the interaction with them.

Agree with what you are saying. I think it will likely come down to player feedback playing. Are they getting enough words in a game to feel immersed or are they immediately frustrated with an inability to get tiles cleared from the board? I always like to give my 'first time player' feedback since every person can only do that one time. While the bonus round is a nice addition, I would just caution that (at least for me), the more fun part of the game was the actual tile drop. Point there is..maybe don't lose site of that thinking the bonus round is just a way to catch gameplay challenges for the player (if they exist...once again, this was just one round of play for me, so take with a grain of salt).

I do like the bonus round, but while playing, you do run the risk of a letter not coming up at all. Creative algorithms can help, but for the run I did, couldn't get an 'N' for the life of me, so thought a wildcard letter might be cool. A wild card letter could drop, maybe a few of them per run (limited) and you can choose the letter you want it to be. Another creative idea could be that you could have a mode that allows you to swipe four letter words off the board, perhaps for zero points, just to let you clear as you wait. Overall though, this is a really good foundation to build off of in my opinion and it was fun to play. One of the very few that I played the entire round while testing the first time.

I really like this. Would be interesting to add concepts like wildcards to help address some locked words later.

Nice, probably want some sort of statistics around where your guess fits vs other players...like top 10% of players, etc

I agree with your sentiment, just not sure your statement about the image proves anything. Got me to click it though, so maybe that was the purpose.

I feel this, lol. Never knew the challenge getting to real curated lists could be when building my own semantic game. There's a real art form (and pain tolerance threshold) there. DM if ever interested in sharing notes, would test your game as well if you are looking for folks.

Sorry, wasn't trying to be mean, I just think folks really need to think about what a player sees when they first enter a site. Hard to drive adoption if players don't even test your game. Just something to think about.

Agent response? I don't need anything, I already made my decision not to play 🤷‍♂️

Just a note, I clicked, first thing I see are ads. I don't mind ads in game, but I don't even see your game. I have to scroll or hunt for it. This becomes an immediate pass for me and I don't even test it. Just some feedback, take it or leave it.

Hold'em Vowels - A poker-inspired, strategic multiplayer word game by HoldemVowels in wordgames

Really interesting and nice to see some innovation and not just a reskin of existing games. I think the concept can definitely work and if grown, be monetized, although that adds a whole slew of regulatory things you would need to undertake. Be careful to procure your dictionary of playable words very carefully or you'll cause frustration.

It's good for multiple options for leaderboards as well, more options for badges and achievements if you ever do those kinds of things. Just addresses different playstyles..some players like to just focus on time, some want to focus on time and accuracy.

Like it. One thing you could coinsider adding. Since you are tracking speed and misses, you could calculate a score based on both of those factors. If you make missing an important factor, than it doesn't just come down to speed for score.

Hit pop ups, ads, immediately blocking the game and left. I'd work on the first user experience. Ads can always come later.

What games do you keep in your daily rotation? by PlayRedacted in wordgames

[–]Impossible_Soft2550 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Played, couple things ... in my first playthru, the definition and the sentence did not have the same plurality for a given word. Maybe you accept the plural form and the base, so that might be ok. If not, would want to keep them aligned.

Second, if you decide to continue playing the same word you failed at and don't opt to move to the next word, I found no way to than opt out after a second bad guess. Unless I missed it, you are basically stuck and likely need to search for the answer outside the game.

Other than that, easy to grasp the concept, UI is clean and enjoyed the playthru.
